Diva of Geneva

I have no clue why I didn't pick up this polish earlier! Diva of Geneva was originally released with OPI's Swiss Collection in 2010. I wasn't expecting to love this polish as much as I did, it really is captivating! Diva of Geneva is a dark plum with red undertones, and a lot of gorgeous shimmer. There is also a hint of gold in this lacquer.

What you see here is 3 coats. Fully opaque in 2, I just added another out of habit.

Isn't that shimmer just gorgeous?!

In some darker lighting this polish looks really red based, but when you are out in the sun or under artificial lighting you can really see the purple and the gold! It verges on being a duochrome, but I don't think it quite makes the cut.

I also started using OPI's Chip Skip today! I tend to have really, really bad luck when it comes to chipping, but I've never really cared because it just gave me an excuse to change my colour more often. :) But I decided to give this product a go, and I will be giving it a full review once I've given it enough time.

What do you think of Diva of Geneva? What other polishes have you picked up from the Swiss Collection? This collection is still always fully stocked at my local Trade Secrets, which strikes me as sort of strange considering it has been out for over a year now!

  1. I think this colour is very classy and rich. I also have Lucerne tainly look marvelous from the Swiss collection. It gives the shimmer of a DS polish for a lot less money!
