My First Glymm Box - September Glymm Box

I was sooo excited to receive my first ever Glymm box in the mail the other day! If you guys don't already know, Glymm is a monthly beauty subscription. Once a month, (they normally ship on the 10th of the month) you get a pretty pink box in the mail with 4-5 deluxe beauty samples. The cost of the box is $10/month, or $110 for a yearly subscription (one month free!). I love the idea of this for a few reasons. Firstly, I absolutely LOVE getting mail. It's like one of my all time favourite things. Second, I love all things beauty, and Glymm lets you try out different brands without a big commitment.
I love the pink box, so girly and cute!

They include a card telling you about the theme of this month's box. Septembers is "Back-to-Beauty"

The other side of the card shows what products you received in your box and the full size prices.

Here's what I got!

A cute litte jar of jelly bellys!

Not sure what flavour they are yet, anybody know?

This was the first product that I got. Oscar de la Renta "Esprit d'Oscar" - Oscar and daughter Eliza modernize the signature de la Renta scent to capture women of the new era. Bright, citrus, floral and warm scents surround you to relay your chic and sophisticated sides." Full size: 1.6 oz for $78

My thoughts: I do like the scent of this perfume, but I am disappointed with the sample size. I do not feel as though this is a "deluxe sample". I see samples this size all the time in stores, which you can get for free. I feel that a deluxe perfume sample would come in a mini size of the real bottle, with a bit more product. There's actually no where on the packaging that states how much product is in the sample.

The second product that I received was full size! Vasanti Blush in "Rockies". "The silky smooth coral with subtle flecks of gold and silver will blend flawlessly with your skin giving you a natural, radiant glow as you transition from your summer to fall wardrobe."

I was so happy when I opened this to see the shade! This is the perfect shade of blush for me :)

My thoughts: I was really pleased with this product :) I liked that it was full size, and I loved the colour. This would be perfect to keep in your make-up bag, and small enough to take in your purse.
$15 for 3.2 grams. You can visit the Vasanti website here.

The next product that I received is John Masters Organics Blood Orange and Vanilla Body Milk. "Delicate and mild, milk thistle, aloe and essential oils are absorbed quickly and happily to leave your skin replenished, detoxified and nourished in a most organic way.
Full Size: 236ml/$25.40
Sample Size: 30 ml

My thoughts: I love the smell of this product! However, my boyfriend hated it. So I guess it's a scent that you either love or hate. I feel that the sample size could have been bigger, maybe double this size. This is more of a travel size, not what I think of when I think of a "deluxe sample". But, the size isn't too bad.

The next product goes with the previous one. John Masters Organics Blood Orange and Vanilla Body Wash. "Bet you've never smelled blood orange & vanilla in the same breath! Nothing less than botanical, this all over was foams to gently remove dirt and leave you feeling clean.

Full Size: 236ml/$25.40
Sample Size: 30 ml

My thoughts: I'm excited to use this! However, I don't particularly like the fact that they included two products from the same line in this box. If you hate the scent, then there's half the box that you won't enjoy. The point of Glymm box is to try out different lines and various products. Even though these are two different products, I'm only trying out one new brand.
You can visit the John Masters website here.

Finally, there was a Glymm surprise! "Cute Croc Accessory" "Let the animal in you come out and play! Reptile-inspired trends graced Autumn's runways and we're making sure you are up=to-date with your BONUS Croc accessory! See you later, alligator!

So I received a cute little compact mirror! I really like the reptile print on the front, and the mirror is a good size to keep in your purse, clutch, or wrislet! I think that this was a nice addition to the Glymm box. :)

Overall, I was pleased with my first ever Glymm box! I do think that some of the samples could have been bigger, or more of a variation in products. But I do love getting mail and opening this box feels like a mini Christmas or birthday!
Have you ever subscribed to Glymm? What are your thoughts on September's box? Did you get anything different than me?
