Julep Maggie

Here is another Julep colour that I purchased with my referral credits!
As I was choosing which colour to paint my nails, I couldn't help but notice that some of my Julep polishes were separating. I haven't had them for longer than a month, so I was very surprised to see that the colours were already separating, I've never had that happen to a polish so fast. Has this happened to anyone else's Julep polishes?

Maggie looks gorgeous in the bottle, a deep almost black purple with shimmers. This colour definitely does translate to the nail. I think that this shade will be perfect for the transition into the colder months. The first coat goes on a bit thin, but the second coat was all it took to even everything out and gave me a completely opaque finish. I added OPI's Top Coat for added shine. I'm really not a fan of Julep's rectangular bottle shape. I feel as though if I put it down while painting my nails it might topple over. I also feel as though I might use up the entire bottle with one application since there is so little product.

Sorry in advance for the messy application - this was done late last night! :(

I really hate the sloppy application of Juleps labels. Some of the names are found at the bottom of the bottle, like this one, and some are labelled on the side. I need consistency!

I'm still wearing this colour as I write this post, so I'm unsure as to whether this shade will stain my nails - I'm hoping for the best! Overall, I wish that there was a little bit more shimmer in this shade, it isn't that noticeable in normal lighting. But I do like this shade and will wear it again. :)

What do you think of Julep Maggie?
