Julep Jodie

Here's another polish that I bought with my Julep Maven referral credits!
Julep Jodie is not a colour that I would normally reach for, but I had several requests to swatch this, so of course I will! Jodie is a red with an orange base and gold micro-glitter throughout. This polish was fully opaque with two coats, and I added one coat of OPI's Top Coat for added shine. This colour reminds me a lot of OPI's Silent Mauvie, which is a favourite of mine. However, Silent Mauvie doesn't contain an orange base, and I like a purer red a lot more.
Overall, I don't have too much to say about Jodie. I still don't like Julep's bottle shape - it's awkward to hold while you paint your nails. The tall skinny design of the bottle makes it difficult to stand upright without the cap on. I don't think that this polish is worth the steep price - $14 for 0.27 fl oz! Unless you really can't live without this colour, I would recommend trying to find a similar shade from another, less expensive brand.

What are your thoughts on this polish? You can check out the Julep Maven Program here.
