Julep Stefani is a grey, gunmetal polish with gold and olive shimmery flecks throughout. This polish is pretty unique, as it is a unusual shade. However, this polish reminded me a lot of OPI's Not Like the Movies, but they are definitely different enough to own both. Not Like the Movies has more of a green base, whereas Stefani has a metal base.
I don't have too much to say about this shade. I'm getting used to the Julep polish bottles, but I still prefer OPI's bottle and Pro-wide brush. Also, this polish comes with a plain white circular sticker on the bottom of the bottle with the name of the polish printed on it. I find that this greatly cheapens the look on the bottle. I wish that Julep would have some consistency with how they label their shades. Some bottle have labels on the side, some are on the bottom, some of them have fallen off.
I used two coats for this mani, which gave me full opacity. Stefani is a fosty shade, which resulted in some streak marks. This wasn't too much of a concern, but application wasn't perfect.

What do you think of this polish? I think this is a shade that you'll either absolutely love or not feel too strongly about.

I have this shade and love it. I do agree with you on the labels. The first thought I had when I saw the Julep polish in person was how terrible the label looked. For a $14 polish it totally cheapens the look of it, in my opinion. When I pay that much money for nail polish I want the packaging to be as perfect as the actual product.
ReplyDeleteI don't have this one but it looks great on you! I'm not a huge fan of their bottle shapes (I find it hard to hold when I'm painting my nails) but I like this shade!
ReplyDeletethis is a gorgeous color!!! I love gun metal shades like this!
