Lush Smitten

I have this strange obsessions with certain make-up companies, you already know about my love for OPI, but I also love The Body Shop, Benefit Cosmetics, Bath and Body Works, and Lush. I could spend hours in each of these stores, and I have done this many times before! I love nail polish, but I also adore beauty products, anything from make-up to lotions to cleansers! So, I decided to branch out a bit and share some of my favourite beauty products with you guys! I hope you don't mind the deviation from polish posts every once in a while! :)

I recently rediscovered Lush Smitten Hand Cream. See, I have so many lotions and creams that I keep in a big storage container, so a lot of products tend to get lost in the masses. My hands get really dry every winter, so I recently scoured my stash to find a hand cream to solve my problems, and I found Smitten! Just as I fell in love with this product, I discovered that Lush had decided to discontinue it! :( But, good news is that you can still purchase Smitten off of their website. Here is how Lush describe's Smitten:

"Protective, almond scented hand cream. When Smitten was discontinued earlier this year, LUSH customers asked persistently for it to be put into Retro and we delivered. It's a lighter hand cream with the same delicious fragrance as our classic holiday soap, Snowcake. Smitten is made with natural oils, calming chamomile and beeswax to protect the hands from extreme weather or nourish them when they need it most. Use it regularly for soft mitts"

Now it is only available in a 100g jar for $18.95 CDN, which I find quite pricey. The container that I have is the perfect size to keep in my purse at all times. It's 45g and comes with a pump. I find that one pump is enough for both hands, you really don't need a lot of this product to do the job! The lotion absorbs very quickly and doesn't leave a greasy residue like some other hand creams do. I'm trying to start moisturising each time after I wash my hands. I find that Smitten stays on during hand washing, which is so great! I love the scent of Smitten, it's very light, not at all overpowering. There is an almond base, and I find this so appealing for some reason! I'm not normally attracted to nutty scents, but I'm in love with this one. The scent lasts lightly on the hands for about an hour.

I'm loving this hand cream, and I'm really sad that this is discontinued! I'm not sure if I will repurchase, because of the high price tag and inconvenience of having to buy online. If it was in stores I would most definitely be buying again and again!

What are your favourite Lush product? Have you tried Smitten before?
