Newspaper Nails Revisited

Hey guys! I'm done one exam, only four more to go! I hate exam time, as I think every student does. With all of the studying that has to be done, it's hard to find time to paint my nails and blog. But I promise that I will post as often as I can :)

Today I just have a quick post, OPInionated originally posted a newspaper nails on my blog before she launched  her own site. Here is how my nails turned out! I really liked this mani, just seeing this pictures makes me want to do it again soon! I think that OPI's Skull and Glossbones is the perfect base for a newspaper mani, as it mimics what I think a true newspaper colour is. However, you can choose any background colour you want, or you could even use a different colour on each nail, get creative! :) I've also seen mani's that use the newspaper comic strips, I think that this is such a cute idea! Just make sure that your base coat is completely dry before dipping your nails in the rubbing alcohol, and add a top coat for an extra shiny finish when you're done. This mani is really easy to do well, I'm all about easy nail art. Not every nail is going to be identical, or perfect, but it doesn't have to be, don't get discouraged.

Have you tried newspaper nails before? What is your favourite base colour? I would love any other easy nail art tips! :) Hope you all have a great weekend!

  6. Love newspaper nails! I found that I like a pale pink as the base. Instead of dipping my finger in rubbing alcohol, I use a cotton ball and dab/wipe it along my nails. :)
