January Luxe Box

So, I was very disappointed with my December Luxe Box, actually extremely disappointed! I was so disappointed that I didn't have the energy to even blog about it! My box didn't even equal the $12 price that I paid for the box! But, enough about December's box, and on to January's box...

I received my January Luxe Box yesterday (Jan. 27), and the box was twice the normal size! So this is what I saw when I first opened the box:

I loooove bath and body products, so I was very excited to see the white box!

I first opened up the regular black box, and this is what I saw:

Let's see what each of the products are! :)

Curly Hair Solutions - Curl Keeper - Curl Keeper lets you be the boss of gorgeous, frizz-free curls. By putting moisture back in the hair cuticle, this unique, silicone-free formula eliminates the dryness which causes frizziness, with no product buildup, leaving curls shiny and feeling clean. Great for everyday use and ideal for humidity, this product can be reactivated with water simply by running wet hands through hair. Take control! Full Size: 240 ml ($18)
Sample Size: 100 ml
My thoughts: I'm pretty excited about this product! I love that it can be reactivated by water, can't wait to try it out!

NYX - Round Lipstick - NYX Round Lipstick is a classic lipstick for use all-year round. The mineral-based emollient formula offers a beautiful velvet texture, saturated colour and it resists wear and smudging. It's your go-to lipstick.
Full-Size: 4g ($4) - Sample is full size!
My thoughts: I actually really like this shade! It's 602 Sash, a light pink, again, can't wait to try it out!

NYX - Jumbo Eye Pencil - A radiant eye liner that also doubles as an eye shadow. Made with a blend of mineral oil and powder, this creamy jumbo eye pencil glides on effortlessly - no pulling, tugging, or fading - and comes in a rainbow of vivid hues.
Full-Size: 5g ($5) - I received a full size product!
My thoughts: I actually already own this product in this shade (604 Milk), so it would have been nice to receive a different shade, but Loose Button couldn't have known that!

MyScent - Loose Button is starting a new program called MyScent - Take a look at the collection of scents that we put together just for you. From sweet to sultry to elegant, we're sure you'll find a perfect scent for whatever occasion you may have. Take your pick for the day and have fun with it!
Prada Candy
Prada Infusion d'Iris
Nina Ricci L'air du Temps
Nina Ricci Nina
Paco Rabanne Black XS For Her
Paco Rabanne Lady Million
I received small (1.2 ml) samples of each of these perfumes.

My thoughts: Loose Button, please stop sending me perfume! Unless you're sending me a miniature bottle of a fragrance, I don't want it. I can get these 1.2 ml samples for free at Sephora, so I don't quite consider this a "luxury sample". I also already received both Nina Ricci samples and the Prada Candy sample, so I didn't like the repeats.

Seattle's Best Coffee (Bonus) - Premium coffee as it was meant to be. Finely crafted, tastefully smooth and easy to find. From a light and crisp level 1 to a bold and intense level 5, it's coffee simplified.
Full-Size: 340g ($9.99)
I received 56g of level three
My thoughts: I don't drink coffee, so I am passing this on to my room-mate.

Now, on to the white box: Bath and Body!

Schick Hydro Silk - Tired of dry skin and irritation? Meet the new Schick Hydro Silk razor. It has a water-activated moisturizing serum that hydrates like no other razor; leaving skin feeling silky smooth.
$13.99
My thoughts: I use an electric razor, so this isn't really that exciting to me!

Fekkai Hair Care - Combines the best of nature and science for powerful results, enhancing the experience in each use and bringing out the very best in every individual who touches it. Brilliant Glossing Shampoo and Conditioner, 9 ml each.
My thoughts: I'm not a huge fan of this style of sample, I would have much preferred it if they were in little bottles. I find this pouches so hard to open in the shower! But I'm excited to use these products!

Overall, I'm happy with January's box! I wish I received Benefit's Powda Wowza, like some other people did, I was just not quick enough to reserve it! I think Loose Button received a lot of negative feedback for the December box, so they felt the need to do something special, maybe that's where the Bath and Body box came in?

Do you subscribe to any of the monthly beauty boxes? What did you get in your Luxe Box? :)

  3. I just opened mine and loved it! I got some different things but the same perfumes...I love getting the little samples as I find the ladies a the dept stores kinda b*tchy when it comes to giving them out. I love the Prada Iris and Lady Millionaire ones!

    1. I normally get my perfume samples from Sephora, I find the staff there really friendly and helpful! I've never tried to get perfume samples from Sears or any other department stores! I like the Prada Candy fragrance :)
