My mom and I went to get manicures earlier this week, and I chose to get OPI's The One That Got Away from the Katy Perry Collection, released in the beginning of 2011. It has been a lonnnnggg time since I got my last professional manicure done, probably over a year. I just love to change my polish so often that I find it a waste to get it done professionally. But, my mom had a gift certificate, so we treated ourselves :) I was disappointed by the salons polish choices, they carried mostly Cheeky Monkey, and only a handful of OPI's. So, I went with the only OPI that I didn't own: The One That Got Away. I have to say, I'm really enjoying this shade! I don't normally go for anything in the "red" family, but this one is nice :) I've had it on for 5 days now, and I don't have a single chip, and I'm just starting to get bored with it! That's saying a lot for me!
The One That Got Away is a nice shimmery red polish. This dried to an almost smooth finish, and it probably would be totally smooth with another layer of top coat. This polish is a deep, berry red base with red and gold flaky shimmer, just beautiful :) I love the way that the manicurist shaped my nails, I'm loving the square look lately.
Sorry, since I had this manicure done, I don't have the bottle to take the pictures with! These pictures were taken on day 4, I think it's pretty impressive :)
How was your New Year's Eve? I would love to know what you did! :) I'm looking forward to 2012, a year of great polish, that I will be sure to share with all of my lovely readers! xo

beautiful shade! I have never had a professional manicure, I buy so many polishes it would be a waste haha
ReplyDeleteGreat colour. Impressed with how well it's stayed for 4 days too.
ReplyDeletesophie I have a feeling their are many OPI addicts out there! :)
ReplyDeleteKD I know how you feel! Why pay for a manicure when you could buy 2 or 3 bottles of polish for the same price!
