Lush Cupcake Fresh Face Mask

Here is one of my all time favourite Lush products - Cupcake Fresh Face Mask! Cupcake smells delicious, a minty chocolate that is really hard to resist...

Lush Cupcake Fresh Face Mask

Lush's Fresh Face Masks are kept chilled in stores, and you should keep it in your refrigerator at home as well. These face masks do have an expiration date, around three weeks, since they are made fresh. Applying this mask makes me feel like I'm really pampering myself, bringing the spa home. Cupcake contains rhassoul mud, to deeply clean your skin, and spearmint oil to leave you with a minty, refreshed feeling! Cupcake is brown in colour, like chocolate. I think that this is such a fun product that also works. I leave Cupcake on for 10-15 minutes, and then rinse off. This face mask can be a bit tricky to rinse off, so I tend to get as much off as I can with water, then I use a cleanser to get whatever is remaining. My face is left feeling moisturized, smooth, and refreshed. And I am left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated! I cannot say enough great things about this product, I really love it.

You get 60g for $6.95, and I managed to get 5 masks out of this pot. So you're looking at just over $1 per mask, which really isn't bad! I love that this mask is fresh, it makes the experience feel even more luxurious.

Another point I should mention, is that Lush has a great recycling program. When you bring back 5 empty black pots, you get a free fresh face mask! That is how I got this particular Cupcake mask :) So when you buy 5, you get one free, making this an even more affordable treat! Cupcake is also 100% vegan, which is a major plus :) I have also used Lush's Catastrophe Cosmetic, I might pick that one up next!

Have you used any of Lush's fresh face masks? Which ones do you love? :)

  2. Some day I will find I am not far from a LUSH store and can go in and touch, sniff and figure out the line products for me. I heard soooo much about their cuticle cream that I bought one on line. Everyone said it smelled divine - that is until after I bought it and I started to see some posts from folks that also like me, did not get it - said it smelled horrible. I do like the natural concept esp with my sensitivities. No preservatives can be iffy however and there are some natural preservatives that can be used. I have to go for a long medical surgery and post op stay come June. Maybe I will go on line and find if there is a Lush store in the huge metropolis I will be in. That is...if I feel up to even going. You all who are in big cities with access to all this 'stuff' don't know how lucky you are. I have tossed far too much stuff that I ordered sight unseen on line.

    1. I can't believe you didn't like Lemony Flutter! I agree, the scent isn't that great, it sure doesn't smell like lemons. But I always have my jar of it within reach and apply in multiple times daily to my cuticles, heels, and any other dry parts.
Online shopping is really hard, I always try to read as many reviews as I can before I buy! :)
Good luck with your surgery xo

As for the commenter above, I LOVE lemony flutter! I like the scent, it is lemony with something else that I can't quite place but I just love it! I use it on my feet all the time and they are lovely and smooth.
