This month Loose Button turned one! To celebrate they included a card (above) that contains seeds, that you can plant yourself. I think this is a cool idea!
The first product I got was a hand and body lotion from J. R Watkins.
"Keep your body's delicate skin soft with J.R. Watkins Hand & Body Lotions. This rich formula provides deep, long-lasting, moisture that leaves skin naturally smooth, soft and nourished. Our organic formula contains more than 10 natural oils and extracts to protect and pamper even the most sensitive skin."
Full Size: 325mL ($10)
Sample Size: 29mL
I got the lavender scent, I personally think that it smells a bit artificial. Also, for a body lotion this is a really small sample. They also included a $1.00 off coupon for any J. R. Watkins Hand & Body Lotion at Shopper's Drug Mart.
The next product I got was three samples of Redken's Color Extend Shampoo and Conditioner.
"Fights the four causes of colour change: environmental aggression, poor cuticle condition, colour-altering minerals, water attack. It refreshes and moisturizes hair, protecting colour from fading. Formulated with Interlock Protein Network, the shampoo/conditioner combination gently cleanses while leaving hair shiny, manageable and refreshed."
Full Size:
Shampoo: 300mL ($15)
Conditioner: 250mL ($17)
Sample Size: 3x 10mL each
I really hate these little shampoo/conditioner packets! I would much rather get the same amount of product, or less even, but in a small bottle. I also don't have colour treated hair, which is in my beauty profile, so this product really isn't suited to me.
Next is a small bottle of OPI's Top Coat, "Once your nail polish is completely dry apply the OPI Top Coat for a beautiful shine and finish. Prevents smudges while drying to a smooth, high-gloss, protective shine. Use this to seal in colour for professional-looking nail tips."
I use OPI's Top Coat every time I do my nails. I have 3 bottles of this stuff as back-up, so I don't really need another small bottle of it. But, this will be a good size for travelling.
Full Size: 15mL ($15) - I have never seen this for $15! I normally see it for $10 or less.
Sample Size: 3.75mL
Lastly I got a full size Cargo eye shadow, "CARGO eyeshadows have long been a pro-artist favorite. Silky, blendable, and layerable, the formulations provide gorgeous, sheer color that can be built up to the desired intensity."
Full Size: 3g ($16)
I like the colours that they gave, I think that pinks and brown will be flattering on many skin tones. I haven't tried this out yet, so I can't comment on the formulation.
This eye shadow was offered in the First in Line program, which lets you reserve a product that you wanted in your box. There were three options this month, including this eye shadow. I was at work when the program started, so the eye shadow wasn't available any more! So I decided not to reserve anything, and I still ended up getting it!
What did you get in your March Luxe Box?
It was very disappointing. I canceled my subscription :(
ReplyDeleteI signed up for a full year subscription, or else I probably would also cancel mine! :(
DeleteSorry to hear that it was disappointing. :( At least you got the pretty eye shadow!! :D
ReplyDeleteYa the eye shadow is the highlight of my box! :)
DeleteI am still on the waiting list for Top Box, and also am waiting for my first Glossy Box. There is a big delay with Glossy Box this month, trouble at Customs apparently. I am not subscribed to Luxe Box, and now I am kinda glad... Nice eyeshadow though :)
ReplyDeleteIt seems that each box has it's own issues! Let me know how you like your Glossy Box :)
DeleteYou got some great stuff! Love that eyeshadow and the topcoat!! :-)

Thanks! I do love OPI's Top Coat and the eye shadow looks really pretty :)
Deletenot a terrible month for Luxe, I usually find their boxes to be nothing special and the cargo eye shadow is a nice touch! The mini topcoat is also nice, as you said, for travelling or even keeping in your car or desk at work. I agree with you though- I wouldn't pay nor have I ever seen a full-sized priced at 15 bucks!
ReplyDeleteI agree, it wasn't terrible, it just didn't excite me! I also don't know where they got the $15 from!
DeleteWonderful stuff. Much impressive.
