Hey! Get in Lime!

Today I have my favourite Easter nail colour to share with you! This was also one of the first two OPI polishes I have ever bought, along with Do You Lilac It? I guess I was on a bright pastel kick!

Hey! Get in Lime! is a gorgeous bright green polish, but it isn't too over the top. Whenever I think of this polish, I think of Easter. I remember that I also wore this shade last Easter weekend, and I actually think that that was the last time I wore it! Now that I have this shade on again, I can't believe I don't wear it more often. Last Easter I used Essie's Matte About You over top to tone it down, and I was planning on doing the same thing this time, but I don't want to change this shade at all! I am so, so happy with this polish, it's perfect for Spring, and it has totally made me fall in love with brights again!

I bought this shade years ago, so it is a black label polish. This means that this polish contains all of the chemicals that OPI removed back in 2006 when they reformulated their polishes. This polish is unfortunately discontinued, but you might be able to find it on ebay or sites like that! I used three coats in the picture below, and I love the results, no streaks, pulling at the cuticles, or bald spots. I do not have a top coat on in these pictures, as I was planing on adding the matte top coat. If you wanted to see this polish with Essie's Matte About You, let me know in the comments!

What are your Easter plans? Which polishes or make-up items will you be wearing this weekend? :)

  4. I love finding black label polishes. I have many that I bought myself from the 90's on. The formula now is getting better. However I liked the old formula better. It was mandated those 3 chemicals be removed in order to sell polish in the state of CA. Companies were given 1 yr to comply. Not sure if eventually all states went that way or if a Fed law in the US came down or maybe it even started in Europe as often they are faster getting to the end point than the states are with regard to research, hearings and all that stuff.
