Lush Glorious Mud

Another Lush review! I've been using a lot of Lush products lately, and I want to share my thoughts with you!

I bought Glorious Mud about 2 months ago, which you can see in one of my Lush hauls here. I've had my eye on this for a while, so I was pretty excited when I finally got it! Glorious Mud is a full body mud mask - how luxurious! Here's what Lush says about Glorious Mud on their website:

"Wallow in the mud with our fizzy cube of Rhassoul mud for a deep down dirty cleanse for clear skin. Glorious Mud body mask gets you mucky, but leaves your skin absolutely delectable. Smooth all over and cover your wet body for a glorious effect and leave for a few minutes before rinsing off. Aloe vera extract is skin soothing, and the mix of sesame and vanilla oils moisturize and soften. And the scent? It’s anything but earthy - it’s the luxurious fragrance of Crème Anglais. Cleaning up just got a lot more fun, in fact, it’s muddy marvelous!"

Glorious Mud comes in a solid cube, and it smells lovely! I use Glorious Mud in the Shower, I dampen the cube slightly and then run it over my body. Be careful not to get the cube too wet, or else it will crumble and fall apart. I keep my cube in a small tupperware container, just because that's the only thing I had lying around the house! You shouldn't leave this in the shower, as if it gets wet or even damp, it won't stay solid. After I cover my body with Glorious Mud I turn the shower off so the mud doesn't get washed off. I leave it on for 5-10 minutes, and then use a bit of water to create more of a paste. The mud also works as an excellent exfoliant! It can be a bit harsh if you have sensitive skin. This is a great product to use before using a self tanner, because it is such a great exfoliator. This can be really messy, so you'll have to give your shower a good rinsing after you use it. I've used Glorious Mud 4 times, and I probably have enough for 2-3 more uses. I only use Glorious Mud once every 2 weeks, because it is a deep clean and exfoliator, I don't think I need it more often than that.

I would repurchase this, I love the at home spa experience! Glorious Mud costs $6.95, so it's a much more affordable option compared to a mud mask at a spa. Have you tried Glorious Mud? What are your favourite Lush products? :)

  3. I have never tried this but I totally would now! In fact I had never heard of this until your post!
BTW I can't believe how long it takes for Sigma to ship to Canada. That's nuts. I want a set of Sigma brushes too. And let us know what you think about the DG Glow pads. We love them!

I wish Sigma brushes were available in stores, I don't want to wait 8 weeks for brushes!
