There are 16 strips in varying sizes in each pack, which is $14.00 at Sephora. The strips are in a sealed package, which you only open when you are ready to apply them. As soon as you open the package, you can smell the nail polish!
Here are the directions from Sephora:
-Select the size that best fits your nail.
-Remove the top clear film.
-Peel the nail polish strip from backing paper with the silver tab.
-Place strip on nail.
-Firmly smooth until wrinkle-free.
-Crease strip at nail edge and file off excess in a gentle downward motion.
-Remove with polish remover.
-For optimal application, use at room temperature.
-Use immediately once package is open or air will cause strip to dry out.
Here I have one of the nail strips applied! They are really long, so I just bent the strip over the edge of my nail, and filed off the excess. I found that application did take a long time, but it was my first try so I assume I would get faster with practice!
I still have a bit of the patches around my nail. I found that if I tried to remove this right after application I would end up peeling too much of the sticker off. However, the excess did come off with normal wear and hand washing. These nail strips lasted a whole week on my nails! I absolutely loved the Feathers design, and I would recommend these Trend Tips. I do wish that there wasn't so much waste with this product. At first I thought I might be able to get two nails out of each strip because they are so long, but since you need to file them, you can only get one nail out of each strip.
Have you tried any nail stickers before? Which ones do you recommend?
These are so pretty! Love the wraps made from nail polish, they're so much better than the foil ones which are too thick and hard to trim to the right shape. You mentioned you had trouble removing the patches around the nail - try using a orange/cuticle stick.

I agree, the ones made of real polish are so much better!
DeleteGreat tip, thanks! I'll try that next time, I was just so scared of taking off too much!
These are so cute!! Great review! :D
ReplyDeleteI definitely recommend Mystique nail appliques. They sent me some for review, and even I could apply them not too badly (I'm not the best at nail stickers, but these were nice and thin and stretchy). They also have adorable designs.
As for the leftover bits of your stickers, I suggest cutting them into shapes and adding them to future manicures maybe? :D
Thanks! :) ooh I've never tried Mystique! I'll have to look into them :)
DeleteGreat idea about using the extras! I'm just not sure if they would dry up or not?
I recently tried the Sally Hansen ones and once u get past the fiddliness they're quite good and REALLY long lasting. I have two more brands ready to try & am quite excited about it. Love the design on the ones you have used really pretty :)
ReplyDeleteI've heard amazing things about the Sally Hansen ones! I still haven't gotten around to trying them though. I'll have to pick some up soon :)
Deletelove these!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteSome time last year I got these really pretty nail appliques in my Birchbox from Incoco. they were like a pink and silver and purple base that seemed to change color in the light with leopard print on top. they were soooo pretty! they go for $7.99 which isn't bad. I just prefer regular nail polish still, but those were really fun for about two weeks!
ReplyDeleteI've read a lot of blog posts about those ones! The ones your got sound gourgeous, and 2 weeks is a really great amount of time!
DeleteThey are really pretty! I have been thinking about trying the OPI Nail Apps for a while too as apparently you can use them with gel nails.
ReplyDeleteIsn't the design gorgeous? Oh that's great, I didn't know that! :)
Deletewoww they look fab :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteThese look so pretty!! I have tried the Incoco twice - the first time I loved them and the second time was a disaster! I would try these though!

They can be tricky and time consuming! I think once you get the hang of it they're much better :)
DeleteYou should do a beauty battle on these! :)
These are pretty. I have not liked any of the SH ones. They look so fake on. I did see some brand on line that had each nail that looked different - not the SH stamped out design that is the same like wallpaper for nails! These look really pretty on.
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried the Sally Hansen ones, are they stickers or real nail polish?
DeleteThat sounds interesting, with each nail slightly different!
