April Luxe Box

This is a little bit late, but better late than never right?! Loose Button sent out the April boxes very, very late this month, so I received my box not that long ago actually. I won't get into all the Luxe Box drama (and there was a lot!) because you can probably read about that on a lot of other blogs.

Essie Nail Polish in Pink-A-Boo - Full Size! It's great to receive a full size polish, but I'm not all that excited about the colour. I'll have to play around with this polish, hopefully it's not too sheer!
Full Size: 15 mL ($8) - NOTE - This Essie polish is actually 13.5mL, not 15mL like the product card says.

Seche Clear Crystal Clear Base Coat - On my product card it actually says that I was supposed to receive the Seche Ridge Filling Base Coat. This is just another slip up from the Loose Button team, which is starting to really annoy me!

Sample Size: 3.8 mL
I'm not sure what the full size price is, since the wrong info was printed on my card! I'm pretty loyal to my OPI Nail Envy, which I use as a base coat, so I'm not sure that I will be using this.

Chi Silk Fusion - "This leave in reconstructing treatment, enriched with pure natural silk, wheat and soy proteins protects your hair against thermal styling and environmental damages while giving your hair incredible lustre. Alcohol free, enriched with pure silk and and wheat and soy proteins."
The sample size is very small, only 15mL, so I feel like this will only last me a few uses since my hair is long and very thick. Also, the sample size bottle doesn't include the list of ingredients. The bottle says for hair and skin, does anyone know how you would use this on your skin?

Full Size: 180 mL ($33)
Sample Size: 15mL

Pantene Pro-V Aqua Light Shampoo + Conditioner - "Congratulations! You have been selected to try the new Aqua Lite Shampoo and Conditioner from Pantene's professional hair care line. The Aqua Lite range has a lot of new innovative ways of achieving weightlessness, using things like water-soluble ingredients and light gel formulations."

Full Size: 375mL each ($6 each)
Sample Size: 50mL each

I am really disappointed with this inclusion! I mean, I can buy Pantene at the drug store, usually on sale for about $3. I do not feel like this is a luxury item.

The full value of my April Luxe Box is just over $14.00, which is only $2.00 over the $12.00 price tag! Honestly, none of the products in this months box excite me. I unfortunately signed up for a full year subscription, but once that runs up I think I'm going to cancel my subscription. I haven't been excited about a Luxe Box in months!

What did you get in your April Luxe Box? Let me know in the comments! :)

  1. I am glad you got pink a boo, at least? it is a very pretty colour although I remember you saying you're not a huge fan of Essie polishes.

    1. Ya, it's for sure the highlight of the box! I actually just tried layering it over OPI's If You Moust You Moust, and it's quite pretty :) I think I just would have liked to receive a darker colour, all of the beauty boxes seem to be giving out light pinks!

    2. its true, I wonder if that is because pink is a 'safe' colour that no one would complain about? they should try sending out some other colours, I agree!

    3. I agree, it's probably a lot safer than sending out a blue or green, but I mean purple, red, or a deeper pink would still be relatively safe and a bit more fun! :)

  2. I got the same things, except I got a leave in conditioner spray called "bobos remi|, it's really weird but smells really good and leaves my hair super soft!

  3. i, like you, am pretty loyal to OPI but once you use scehe vite, you will never use anything else. The shine and feel you get on your nail is like glass and i wouldnt use anything else. Here in the uk it retails for about £8 or £9 but can often get good deals on our qvc (recently you could get 3 for £15) its the only polish ive actually used up.

    1. I've heard so many things about seche vite! But I was given just the Seche base coat, I haven't tried it out yet but I will soon! :)
