MUFE's Powder Eye Shadows are very pigmented, but it's also easy to get just a sheer wash of colour. I love the formulation of these shadows, they are powdery, but I didn't get any fallout. I used a fluffy eye shadow brush to apply, I love the one that came in Urban Decay's Naked 2 Palette, but you can use any eye shadow brush. I tapped off the excess powder and then applied all over my lid.
Of course, you could create any look that you wanted, or keep your look simple and use just this one shade. I decided to add some neutral shades to complete my desired look. First, I used a fluffy eye shadow brush and applied NARS Lhasa over MUFE's #118. I've been loving the versatility of Lhasa, it can be used with almost any shade. I then added Urban Decay's Sidecar, a shimmery brown, to add a bit of sparkle and neutrality. I love the vibrancy of MUFE's #118 Light Blue shadow, but it's not a look that I feel comfortable wearing all on it's own. However, when it's combined with more neutral shades, I love it! I have blue-grey eyes, and I think that this shade really compliments my eye colour.

To finish off the look, I decided to keep with the blue theme and pick a navy eyeliner. I decided to go with Urban Decay's 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Liner in Radium. I then applied Cover Girl's Lash Blast mascara in very black to my lashes.
Overall, I'm really liking this look! It's a nice change from my everyday neutrals, but not too crazy that I'm uncomfortable leaving the house. What do you think would compliment MUFE #118? Do you usually wear neutrals, or are you more adventurous with colour?
MUFE Eye Shadows are $23.00 CDN for 2.5g (NARS single eye shadows are 2.2g), and there is a very wide variety of shades to suit anyone's individual taste! Also, MUFE's eye shadows can be easily removed from the pan, as they are magnetic, so you can put them in a separate palette if you wanted to.
What eye make up looks have you been wearing lately? :)
Disclosure: MUFE #118 was provided to me for my honest review.
Blue as well! I just did an EOTD with Pandora's Aquamarine on Monday!
ReplyDeleteOh nice! I'm going to check your EOTD right now :)
DeleteMy lashes are pale like yours. I can't wear mascara, so I like to get my lashes dyed. Have you ever tried it? I think it would look really nice on you :)
ReplyDeleteNo I haven't gotten them dyed before! Does the look resemble a more natural mascara? Where do you get it done? :)
DeleteI get it done where usually at a hair dresser's that has an esthetician, I guess it is called eyelash tint, not dyed. But regardless, I get the color black/black for the blackest of lashes and looks like I have mascara on all the time, it is great for summer. They also offer blue/black or brown/black, but I find the black/black stays on the longest. I think around here it is approximately $16 and usually lasts for about six weeks. Totally worth it for me, as like I said, I can't wear mascara. Also, this way, in the heat of ths summer, you don't have to worry about mascara running down your face, LOL :)
DeleteOh that's a really great price! That sounds like an excellent idea for the hot summer months, I might have to look into it! Thanks for sharing :)
DeleteI have not tried MUFE eye shadows yet. But I will say that I love neutrals and brights. Not afraid of some color!! :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

I like a mixture of neutrals and brights, I mostly go for pinks, browns, and purples though :)
