May Luxe Box

So it's the end of the month and I've finally received my May Luxe Box! I hate how late Loose Button sends out their boxes, especially since they said they'd be sent out the week of the 14th (or 16th?). However, I'm actually quite pleased with this months box :)

This month there were two boxes, the traditional black box, and a white box, "bath and body".

Moroccan Oil Intense Hydrating Mask for Dry and Damaged Hair - "Hair in need of extra conditioning can benefit from this 5-minute revival treatment. Ideal for thick hair, the high-performance, argan oil-rich formula deeply hydrates and conditions while dramatically improving hair's texture, elasticity, shine and manageability."
Full Size: 250 mL ($38)
Sample Size: 75mL
My thoughts: I love Moroccan Oil, so I'm really excited to try this out! The size is pretty generous too :)

Cargo Blu_Ray Lip Gloss - "This gloss was designed to make lips look their best in high definition filming. Our unique formula plumps and hydrates lips, filling fine lines and adding a brilliant shine. Lips fuller and incredibly smooth. Timestrip Technology lets you monitor the freshness of your gloss by letting you know when it's time to replenish."

Full Size: 4.75g ($25) - Sample is full size!

My thoughts: I think the whole Timestrip Technology is a bit of a gimmick, but I'm glad to receive a full size lipgloss!

Orlane Oligo Vitalizing Scrub - "This scrub gently but effectively exfoliates dead cells - leaving skin visibly smooth, soft, fresh and bright. Comfort and well-being are restored, and dry and sensitive skin regains healthy vitality. Regular use helps keep skin free of impurities."
Full Size: 75mL ($42)
Sample Size: 3.5mL
My thoughts: I love scrubs, but this sample size is so tiny! This would be great to take on travel though.

Paco Rabanne Black XS L'Exces For Him & For Her "Black XS L'Exces For Her by Paco Rabanne is a neo-Oriental Floral fragrance for women. This fragrance starts with neroli and pepper, then middle notes of jasmine, rose and night blooming cereus. It finishes with base notes of vanilla and cashmere wood chouli."
Full Size: For Her: 50mL ($74) For Him: 50mL ($78)
Sample Size: 1.2mL x2
My thoughts: I'm not excited about these perfume samples, I have so many from previous boxes, I don't need any more! If you're going to include perfume, include a roller ball or deluxe sample sizes!

And these two products were included in the white "Bath and Body" box!

Overall, I'm pretty happy with this months box, especially the Moroccan Oil and Cargo products :) I haven't been happy with a Luxe box in a loooong time, so this was nice.

What did you get in your May Luxe Box?

  1. I had the same in my Bath and Body box, but a little different in the main box. I didn't have the Moroccan Oil Intense Hydrating Mask. (Boo! I have been wanting to try this brand, and have yet to receive any samples from any of my subscription services.) Instead, I had two shampoo/condition/hair mask samples (I think from Frederic Fekkai - thank goodness) but in those packets we all hate to get. The packets were pink, so I think they were for coloured hair.

I also didn't I receive the Orlane Oligo Vitalizing Scrub. Instead, I got a second Olay Regenerist sample in my main box. Needless to say I was a little disappointed.

I was still happy to have the Cargo lip gloss, and the Venus & Olay razor (which I have been eying for awhile and wanted to try). All in all, I am satisfied, but not yet thrilled. Luxe Box needs to step it up, and stop sending those dinky little perfume samples. I don't want them!!!

Ok, rant over. Thanks for the review. :)

    1. Oh no, I hate those single use shampoo samples! I wish they kept all of the boxes relatively similar. And getting doubles of the Olay samples really sucks :( Hopefully next month is better for you!

  2. Wow, super nice this month.

I don't subscribe to Luxe, but I did finally receive my May Glossy Box yesterday. I was really happy with it again, this makes 3 months in a row that it was filled with products that I will use!

    1. Ya, I'm happy with my box :) The timestrip is really gimmicky, I normally just hold onto my glosses until I've used them up or they've clearly gone bad!

  8. Let us know about the Morrocan oil mask, heard great things about it. Great box!
