The Body Shop Born Lippy Watermelon Lip Balm

Happy Friday everyone! It is also Canada Day weekend here in Canada, but unfortunately I'm stuck working allll weekend long! I'm hoping to still be able to make it out to a concert on Parliament Hill on Sunday (Feist, Simple Plan, Jully Black, and more are playing). I hope some of you are able to relax at a cottage, or something equally enjoyable! :)

I absolutely love the Born Lippy Lip Balms from The Body Shop, they smell amazing, and work really well. One of my favourites is the Watermelon scent, it is so fresh and light. I also love the formula of these lip balms, they add a touch of shine to your lips. It almost looks like a gloss, but it feels like a moisturizing balm. This lip balm doesn't give your lips any colour, just a nice bit of shine.

These balms don't have amazing lasting power, they won't stay on your lips through eating or drinking. I find that I have to reapply about every hour or two. If you're looking for a long lasting lip balm, this won't be a winner for you. But, I still love these for wearing around the house. I normally don't keep this lip balm in my purse, because I don't like to apply potted lip balm when my fingers aren't completely germ-free.

Have you tried these lip balms before? I've really been loving The Body Shop lately! I would love to know what your favourite Body Shop products are! :)

  2. The only thing that really holds me back from getting this is I don't like getting my fingers dirty either and with long nails it gets really irritating...other than that I'm sure it smells amazing!

    1. Yes these don't really mix with longer nails :( I find that really annoying as well, but the scent is so amazing that it makes up for it!
