The Body Shop Shea Body Butter

I absolutely love the body butters from The Body Shop! Well, I love a lot of what The Body Shop has to offer, but I must say that I really love their body butters. I just love the circular jars, I've grown up with these around the house, and now I always a few jars lying around my apartment. I normally opt for the coconut or mango (reviewed here) scents, but I've picked up a few different scents (Sweet Lemon, Shea, Satsuma, and Olive).

Each of the different scents from The Body Shop are geared towards different skin types. The Shea Body Butter is formulated for Very Dry Skin, making it really creamy and moisturizing. Unlike the Mango scent, I found that the Shea Body Butter absorbed rather quickly. My skin is left very moisturized, but not sticky or heavy. Even though this is formulated for very dry skin, I think that everyone could use this one.

I love the Shea scent for the summertime, it's like a cousin to the Coconut scent! The Shea scent is very light, and lingers on the skin for a few hours, but you can't notice it unless you are very close. This is a perfect lotion to use if you also like to wear perfume, since it won't overpower any scent that you choose to wear.

I have a bunch of the smaller 50mL tubs, and I have to say that I find them to be really small! I can go through one in under a week, since I moisturize my entire body every single morning and night. I go through a bunch of lotions in general, but the smaller sizes get emptied so quickly! The smaller sizes are great for travelling, or for trying out a bunch of different scents to see which ones you love. The Body Shop also sells a 200mL tub, and the jumbo tub which is 400mL. I might have to start picking up the jumbo sizes!

Have you tried the Body Butters? Which scents do you recommend? I'm really wanting to try out the Pink Grapefruit, Vanilla, and Passion Fruit. The Body Shop is constantly running deals, I think currently they have a "buy 3, get 2 free" deal. :)

Oh and I've been loving the Chocomania which is funny because I would have thought I would use that in the colder months but I've been enjoying it recently.

  4. I am systematically making my way through every scent of Body Shop's Body Butters because I love them all! The only one I didn't like was Chocomania...it smelled artificial to me...so far I've really liked Satsuma, Pink Grapefruit, Vanilla Spice and Coconut! I am on Brazil Nut right now and I'll be getting to Shea soon enough!
