Smok'n in Havana

I have a black label OPI to share with you today! Smok'n in Havana was part of OPI's 1996 Caribbean Collection, I love discovering older polishes :) I need to go dusty hunting, I've always wanted to but I've never gotten around to it, it's on my bucket list!

Smok'n in Havana is a coppery orange based red with golden shimmers throughout. The shimmer doesn't translate too well on the nails, it kind of just blends in to the colour of the polish, giving it a nice glow. The formula was great, full opacity in two coats. Since this is an older polish, it doesn't have the great pro-wide brush that I love from OPI. The smaller brush makes application take a bit longer, but it's not a huge deal. I didn't experience any chipping while I was wearing this polish, but I did have some tip wear. This might have been because I didn't wear a top coat with this polish or my application.

I do enjoy this polish, but it's nothing overly exciting. I wouldn't go out of my way to search this polish down on ebay, but if you see it dusty hunting for a good price, I'd recommend giving it a go!

Have you ever gone dusty hunting? I would love any tips or advice that you have! :)

  2. OMG, 1996! It just goes to show that nail polish colours can transcend time! Looks lovely! I wish I had hung on to my Streetwear and SH Chrome polishes from 1995!

  3. Wow this is an oldie and quite an interesting burnt orange color. I prefer to wear more pink or coral toned oranges but this looks great on you!
