Moroccanoil Moisture Repair Shampoo & Conditioner

I received some travel sized bottles of Moroccanoil's Shampoo and Conditioner in a past Luxe Box, and I'm finally getting around to trying them. I absolutely love the Original Moroccanoil treatment, so I was excited to be able to try out some other products from the line!

Here's what Moroccanoil says about their Moisture Repair Shampoo & Conditioner:

"Moisture Repair Shampoo and Conditioner are for hair that has been weakened or damaged by color, chemical processing or heat styling. They restore hair by bathing it in a highly concentrated formula rich in antioxidant argan oil, reconstructive keratin and fatty acids. Both products restore elasticity, moisture and manageability. The formulas are free of sulfates, phosphates and parabens, so they’re safer for the environment and won’t dry, fade or strip color-treated hair."

I love that these products don't have any sulfates in them, because my scalp sometimes has allergic reactions to sulfate. I also appreciate that they don't have any parabens! The Moisture Repair Shampoo is very creamy and lathers well with a small amount of product. I massage this shampoo into my scalp and then wash off. Unlike some other shampoos that leave my hair feeling very dry, this one leaves my hair feeling nourished and soft. After only shampooing, my hair feels like I've already conditioned! The conditioner just adds to the softness, with extra hydration. I wring out all excess water from my hair after shampooing, so I am left with damp hair. I then add a fair amount of conditioner to my hair, staying away from the scalp. I have very thick, wavy hair, so I need a lot of product to coat it. I leave the conditioner on while I wash and exfoliate my body, normally for about 5 minutes. I then rinse out with cool water.

I absolutely love the way these two products make my hair feel! I normally don't see any real results from shampoos and conditioners, they all generally provide similar results. However, I really do see a difference from these two products! I would recommend the Moisture Repair Shampoo & Conditioner to anyone who has dry, damaged, and coloured hair. Also, both the shampoo and conditioner have such a simple, classic scent.

Have you used any of Moroccanoil's products? What do you recommend? I'm wanting to try more from this brand! :)

  1. I noticed a huge difference when I used the samples as well! My hair was so soft and looked so nice that I even had people asking me if I'd had a haircut because my hair just looked so restored!

  2. I have just started using the Morocco oil and notice a big difference in my hair. After your reviews, really want to try the shampoo and conditioner to try. Do they have the same scent as the oil?

  3. I love this shampoo! The Moroccanoil treatment is my holy grail product too. I use it almost every day especially when blowdrying my hair as it quickens up the process – does anyone else find this? I think Hairtrade.com is the cheapest place you can get it at the moment – here’s the link if anyone wants it. I also find it good to use on my extensions too x

    1. I find that my hair dries faster when I use the oil too, whether I let it air dry or if I blow dry my hair :)
      Thanks for the link!

  4. In terms of energy efficiency, the best air conditioning systems are often spoken about without regard to specific situations. construction
