Favourite Hand Creams

Colder weather has reached Canada, which means drier skin, at least for me! My hands always get the short end of the stick, as they are dry year round, but get really chapped in the Fall and Winter. Here are my favourite hand creams:

Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream - I've had a travel size of this hand cream for ages, but I recently just rediscovered it. I'm really loving Caudalie lately, and this product is no exception. This hand cream is really light, and sinks in very quickly, but it does nourish and moisturize. The scent of this one is just lovely. "Infused with a sweet orange fragrance, this cream is highly concentrated in patented antioxidant grapevine polyphenols and Vinolevure." I am now using the 2.5 oz bottle, which is $15, and can be found at Sephora.

The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector - Full review here - This hand cream is a bit thicker and heavier, which makes it great for really dry hands, or to apply at night before bed. This hand cream does have a strong scent, which I don't particularly like, so I want to try out The Body Shop's Almond Hand & Nail Cream or the Wild Rose Hand Cream. This hand cream is $20 CAD for 3.3 oz, but The Body Shop always has some sort of sale running.

Ahava's Deadsea Water Mineral Hand Cream - I absolutely adore this hand cream! It is amazing, really light and nourishing. I've been loving Ahava products ever since I got this sample in a beauty box. I'm really wanting to buy the full size bottle, but I'm trying to use up what's in my stash first. If you are in the market for a new handcream, I highly recommend this one. It sink in quickly, and leaves a velvety finish to your hands. To me, this feels like a high-end product. The full size is $21 for 3.4 oz, and can be purchased on Ahava's website here. My travel size is almost empty, I don't want it to end!

What hand creams have you been loving lately? I really want to try Soap & Glory's Hand Food, as everyone raves about it. If you have any other recommendations, please let me know! :)

  1. I love The Body Shop Wild Rose Hand Cream, it smells lovely and is so hydrating. It's meant for mature skin - I'm only 22 but it feels so lovely!

  2. Caudalie is a favorite of mine as well, but my number one is definitely the L'occitane hand creams (in Japanese cherry blossom). They're not sticky, absorb well and absolutely fabulous. I haven't tried the ones with extra Shea butter though. They're $10/1oz

  3. Ahava is my go to right now. I was lucky enough to find a full size set of the hand and foot cream at Winners! I don't think it's as dry in Vancouver as it is out East because whenever I go to Montreal, my hands feel like paper all the time! I think I went through a whole tube of hand cream in the two weeks I visited over Christmas!

    1. Oh I'll have to check out my local Winners! Thanks for the tip :) Ottawa and Quebec get really cold, and really dry! I just fly through lotions in the wintertime!
