Sephora by OPI I Don't Bite

Another day, another polish to try out from Sephora by OPI's Tinsel Town Collector's Set! I originally reviewed the set here, and since then I've been trying out the different polishes in the set. Today I'm wearing Sephora by OPI's I Don't Bite*, which Sephora describes as an "opaque soft purple with fine holographic glitter."

Now, I don't think that this polish really meets Sephora's description of it. Unlike Sephora, I don't see any holographic glitter, at most I see some very, very fine shimmer. This polish has a very thin formula, so I needed three coats for an opaque finish. I Don't Bite has a metallic and frosty finish, but I didn't have any problems with brush stroke marks.

This shade is nice for the Fall and Winter months, but I honestly don't think it's anything too exciting. I wish that this polish was a bit more vibrant or opaque, because I feel like it can come across a bit boring or understated. This purple does have grey undertones, which might explain why it doesn't excite me!

I Don't Bite was originally released as a part of Sephora by OPI's Safari Luxe Collection for Spring 2012. This colour has since been added to Sephora by OPI's permanent collection, and a full size bottle costs $12 CAD. The picture for this polish on the Sephora site is very misleading! This shade looks a lot deeper and more vibrant, everything I wish this polish was in real life!

Overall, I would say take a pass on this shade, there are so many other polishes that have better formulas and colour payoff. Have you tried this shade before? Let me know your thoughts in the comments! :)
