Elin Bianco Treatment Serum

This past year I've really gotten into hair oils. In the past, I would just use a leave in conditioner, a cream, or a spray, but lately I've been using a hair oil, plus one of those three. I've been trying out a bunch of different oils (MoroccanOil, L'Oreal Mythic Oil, L'Oreal Elixir Ultime, Alberto V05 Hot Oil Hair Treatment, Josie Maran Argan Hot Oil Self-Heating Hair Treatment), and I loved some of them, and wasn't too keen on some others. Right now I'm trying out Elin Bianco's Treatment Serum, let's see how I like it...

I'm new to Elin Bianco as a brand, and I don't know too much about it to be honest. I do know that Elin Bianco is a Canadian brand, so it's nice to support Canadians! I believe the brand is available in Canada, the US, and Europe. Here's how the Treatment Serum is described on the website:

"For all hair types. Enriched with Organic Palm Kernel Oil. Seals and repairs split ends, restores natural texture to hair, and rehabilitates the hair structure. Gives the hair vitality and softness while preserving its nutrients and moisture balance. Enriched with Natural Silicon, Coconut Extracts, Flax Oil and Sea-Buckthorn Oil."

This product is housed in a beautiful glass bottle with a pump. I find that I have to use quite a few pumps to cover all of my hair, but I do have very, very thick and long hair. I apply this onto damp hair, after each time I wash my hair. I've been using this bottle for about 4 months, and I still have more than 3/4 of the bottle left! So this will definitely last you quite a while. I've been applying this onto my ends and from about the ears down. I find that this keeps my hair fairly frizz-free, soft, and manageable. This product reminds me slightly of a dry oil, since it does absorb into my hair very quickly. I've been using this in combination with Lush's R&B, which really moisturizes.

This product has a beautiful scent, but I don't find that it lingers on my hair. This hair oil smells reminiscent of baby powder, which I really like, but I know that many people don't. Elin Bianco products are sold exclusively in professional salons, and I do find them quite hard to locate. I'm hoping that the brand will expand and start shipping online, or will be available in more stores. If you can get your hands on this, I do recommend giving it a try!

What are your favourite hair oils? I have a few samples of Ojon's oil that I'm really excited to try out! Leave me any suggestions in the comments below :)

  1. I have had this sitting in my cabinet waiting to be used but have never tried it. I may need to start using it the second my Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment runs out. Great post love <3

    1. I've really wanted to try the Macadamia line, how do you like it?
Definitely give this one a shot, it's quite nice :)
