Givenchy Noir Couture 4 in 1 Mascara

I received a sample size of Givenchy's Noir Couture 4 in 1 Mascara from Sephora back in August, but I've been using it for about 2 months now. I love receiving sample mascaras, I hardly ever actually have to purchase a full size mascara because I always have samples! A lot of my sample mascaras come from Clinique's gift with purchases, or from Sephora.

Givenchy's Noir Couture 4 in 1 Mascara has a really interesting brush! It has three spheres, I'm not too sure about the reason behind this design, but it's different and fun. Here's how Sephora describes this mascara:

What it is:
A four-in-one mascara that creates intense volume, strong curl, infinite length, and complete lash care.

What it does:
This multitasking mascara is formulated with Givenchy’s exclusive Lash Booster Expert Complex that provides nutrition, revitalization, fortification, and protection.

What else you need to know:
A classic brush has been included for traditional mascara application.

Research results:
-Based on a self-evaluation on 32 women after 4 weeks of daily application, 91 % had visibly volumized, curled, and lengthened lashes.
-Based on clinical scoring on 32 women after 8 weeks of daily applications, 102 % recorded lash beauty and strength, surface shine, evenness, and suppleness.

I found this mascara quite thick, and if you used any more than one coat, you were left with a ton of clumps. This mascara claims to curl, add volume, and length, which is what every girl would want from a mascara! I do find that this mascara adds volume and curl, but it falls a bit flat with the length. But 2 out of 3 ain't bad!

As you can see in the pictures, there is a bit of clumping. I'm not a fan of this look, especially when it's coming from a high end mascara! In the pictures I am wearing 2 coats, so with only one coat the clumping isn't as severe. The full size tube will cost you $35 CAD for 0.28 oz. My all time favourite mascara is still Covergirl's Lash Blast, which you can find for about $6.

Another thing I need to mention is that this mascara is very hard to remove at night! I use about 4 cotton balls soaked in eye makeup remover to get this off, and every morning I still have traces of mascara on my lashes.

I have a second sample tube of this mascara, which I will gladly use, but I won't be purchasing the full size. A high end mascara would have to blow me away to get me to splurge on it! Have you tried Givenchy's Noir Couture 4 in 1 Mascara before? How did you like it? :)
