October Favourites

It's that time again, monthly favourites! October was a busy month for me, I had a lot of midterms and school stress, but that is winding down a bit now. The weather is getting quite cool where I am, so it's really feeling like Autumn! Anyways, here are the things that I've been loving this past month :)

Guess for Women EDP: I talked about this perfume in my Favourite Fall Scents post, and it was the perfume I have been reaching for most often this past month! I really love this scent, it's a bit deeper, but it works perfectly for day and night.

Stila Lip Glaze in Raspberry: This is just a sample size that I received in a previous Topbox. It's taken me forever to try this one out, I'm not sure why. I really do enjoy this formula, it's really smooth and not sticky. Raspberry is a nice berry pink shade, which can be worn sheer or built up a bit more opaque. I love the brush tip applicator on this, and I've been wearing it loads! My sample is almost finished, and I'm wanting to get a few other shades from the line :)

Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Cream in White Russian: I originally showed this product in my review of the Buxom Time to Shine Lip Gloss Set. This is a really pretty nudie-pink shade that applies so smoothly to the lips. This also has a great minty scent, and has a slightly tingly feeling associated with lip plumpers. I already have quite large lips, so I don't need any more plumpling, but I still love this formula!

Bath & Body Works Winter Spice & Vanilla Gentle Foaming Hand Soap: I adore these soaps from BBW! They are often the only ones I use, although I haven't used the foaming formula in a while. This scent is great for the holiday season, as I love spicy vanilla scents. The scent does stay on my hands for a bit after I was my hands, which I enjoy. I really recommend checking this one out!

Origins A Perfect World Antioxidant Moisturizer with White Tea: I got this from Sephora back on Earth day, which I explain in my post here. Every Earth day, Origins has an exchange program, where if you bring in an empty product, they will give you a free full size product! This year was this moisturizer. I just started using it this month, but I really love it already. This absorbs into my skin quickly, and doesn't leave a greasy feeling. I have to say, I'm not a huge fan of the scent, but it fades as soon as it absorbs into your face.

Soap & Glory Scrub 'Em & Leave 'Em: I have already reviewed this here, and I've been so in love with this product all month! The scent of this is beautiful, and it fills up my whole shower whenever I use it. I get a really nice exfoliation from this product, but I'm not left feeling dry or tight. The oils in this scrub are really beautiful and leave my skin quite moisturized.

The Body Shop Spiced Vanilla Lip Balm: I reviewed this last winter, which you can see here. I always stock up on The Body Shop's limited edition Spiced Vanilla lip balms that are only released around the holidays. I like using this all year long, but I especially love the scent at this time of year. This year, The Body Shop changed up the scent a bit, now they carry Vanilla Bliss, which doesn't have the same spicy scent to it.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Shadow in 2E*: I've had this for a while now, but I've just started using it. I really like jumbo pencils like this, because they can be used as shadow bases, shadows, or liners. I like to use this one as a liner. 2E is a matte brown shade. This stays on my eyes almost all day long, and I think it looks great paired with a neutral or golden eye look.

Naturally Upper Canada Whipped Hand Repair Balm - Golden Maple Sugar: I finished off a few of my favourite hand creams earlier in the month, so I went into my stash to find a replacement. I decided to give this one from Naturally Upper Canada a try, and I quite like it! The scent is really nice and light, and it won't overpower any perfume that you're wearing. What I like most about this hand cream is the texture: it feels almost like icing sugar! It's unlike anything I've used before, but it leaves my hands feeling velvety and so soft :)

MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Microfinish Powder*: I love applying this powder to set my foundation or BB cream! I find that this gives such a flawless finish, and you really just need a little amount to cover the whole face. I like to use a kabuki brush to apply this, as I find that a larger powder brush looses too much of the powder.

Clarisonic Mia: I've been ignoring my Clarisonic for quite some time, but I've been using it every single day of October! I only use this at night, and I find that it does such a great job getting every last trace of my makeup off, and giving a nice deep clean. I don't have sensitive skin, so I haven't had any problems with this at all.

So that's what I've been loving recently! Do we share any of the same favourites? Leave me a comment below letting me know what you've been adoring lately :)

  3. I want to try that Soap&Glory scrub! Currently I'm using Scrub of Your Life by them and it's great. HD powder is fantastic too! When did you purchase your Clairsonic? I've been wanting one but can't seem to justify the cost!

    1. I haven't tried Scrub of Your Life, but I really want to! :)
I purchased my Clarisonic back in March I think? I got it at Sephora when I had my 10% VIB coupon, so I got a bit of a discount :) I think it's worth the investment. And if you get it at Sephora and end up not liking it, their return policy is amazing!
