Benefit It's Potent! Eye Cream

I've recently been using Benefit's It's Potent! Eye Cream, and I thought it was about time I reviewed it! I used to use this product a few years ago, when it was first released. I recently received a sample of It's Potent, and started using it again. I'm fairly picky when it comes to eye creams, so let's see how I got on with this one from Benefit!

Firstly, I have to say that I love the packaging of Benefit's skincare line. Even the sample I have is in a glass container! I actually love the packaging of all of Benefit's products, I find it really fun, colourful, and attractive.

When it comes to eye creams, I tend to like ones that are thick, creamy, and moisturizing. I'm not a huge fan of gels or anything too light. It's Potent! Eye Cream is thick and creamy, but it sinks in quickly. I apply this every morning and night, and I've been quite enjoying it! In the morning, I find that this cream absorbs quickly, allowing me to carry on with my makeup application.

I don't find that this cream has any scent, which I prefer, since the eye area is so delicate. I apply this eye cream (and every eye cream) with my ring finger. I gently pat this in for a few seconds.

Here's how Sephora describes It's Potent! Eye Cream:

"Your eyes can't keep a secret—they're the first to show signs of aging and stress. This powerful eye cream, containing a peptide complex known to help restore elasticity and firmness, fades dark circles and helps smooth fine lines for brighter, younger-looking eyes. Its blend of hydrating botanical extracts features apple extract, known to help boost collagen, and loquat extract, known to help protect the skin from free radical damage."

After about a month of use, I do find that It's Potent! has helped to reduce dark circles and puffiness, but it's not a miracle product. Being a full time student, and working full time hours, I don't tend to get as much sleep as I should. I would love for a product to completely brighten up my under eye circles, but that is quite a feat! I don't have a big problem with puffiness, but I do have quite bad dark circles. Thankfully, there's concealer for that! I can't comment on its' effect on fine lines and wrinkles, since at 20 I don't have any of those (yet!).

If you're looking for a new eye cream, I do recommend trying out Benefit's It's Potent! Eye Cream. If you're a fan of heavy creams, I think you'll like this one. The packaging is really cute, and the product inside is also effective. Have you tried this eye cream from Benefit? What is your favourite eye cream? :)

  1. I'm looking to try this eye cream in the new year. I like thicker eye creams too. I'm using the Origins Ginzing which has actually brightened up under my eyes abit whilst it's on but I suppose there's no miracle dark circle eliminator right? :)

    1. I haven't tried GinZing, but I've heard it's really good! I think I have a sample to try actually :)

  2. I used and finished this eye cream, and I found it really helpful! Even after a month of not using it, my under eye area has retained its brightness.
