NARS Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner - Abbey Road

I went on a major NARS kick earlier this year, I've really fallen in love with the brand. I purchased three of their Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliners, and today I'm sharing Abbey Road with you!

I adore NARS packaging, although I know a lot of people complain about it. Personally, I find the black packaging very sleek and appealing. Also, the packaging of the eyeliners aren't rubberized, so they don't get dirty like the blushes and other compacts do. Each pencil is colour coded on the bottom end, which makes finding the right shade very easy. I do wish that the cap was also colour coded though.

These Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliners have a retractable applicator, so you just twist at the bottom to get more product. The bottom cap is also removable to reveal a sharpener. I'm confused as to why NARS included a sharpener, since the product is retractable. If anyone knows why, please let me know!

I find that the tip of this pencil makes it very easy to draw a thin line, but you could also make it thicker if you wanted. Also, this formula has great pigmentation! I find that with some liners I have to really work at building up colour, but with the NARS ones it's so easy. The formula is also creamy, so it glides on nicely without any pulling or tugging. Once applied, these eyeliners set fairly quickly. I don't normally smudge out my liner, as I like the look of a precise line.

Abbey Road is a beautiful aqua teal shade with fine shimmer. I like using this on my lower lash line, as a way to spice up a neutral eye. I think that this adds just the right pop of colour without being over the top. NARS claims that these liners last for 12 hours, but I find that on my eyes they last for about 8. After that, the pigmentation starts to fade, and it isn't all that noticeable any more. Still, 8 hours isn't anything to complain about!

As this is a high-end product, it does come with a high price-tag. For $25 CAD you will receive 0.58g of product. But remember, since you aren't sharpening this pencil, you won't be loosing any product there! I do think that these NARS Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliners are a great luxury product, and I really enjoy wearing them. I already own Abbey Road, Campo De'Fiori, and Rue de Rivoli, and I love them all. I also want to pick up Bourbon Street, Rue Bonaparte, and 47th Street.

Have you tried the Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliners from NARS? Which shades do you recommend? :)
