Boscia Soothing Cleansing Cream

Sephora was having some amazing Boxing Day deals this past year, and I couldn't help but to pick up a few items in the sale. One of the products I bought was Boscia's Soothing Cleansing Cream. I've heard amazing reviews on Boscia's MakeUp-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil, which I also wanted to try. But since the Soothing Cleansing Cream was only $12 at the time, I decided to go for that one.

From Sephora:

What it is:
A sulfate-free cleanser, rich in botanical emollients, that effectively removes makeup and impurities.

What it is formulated to do:
This rich blend removes makeup and impurities while replenishing the skin as it cleans. A complex of botanical emollients nourishes and protects dry, delicate skin.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Phthalates

I really like the packaging of this cleanser! The pump dispenses just the right amount of product, so you aren't left wasting any of this cleanser. Boscia recommends applying a pump of this to a dry face, and massaging in for a minute or two before rinsing. I've only been using this as my morning cleanser, as this one isn't great at removing makeup. At night I've been using Lush's Ultra Bland (reviewed here), which is great at removing makeup.

Boscia's Soothing Cleansing Cream is a white cream product that applies almost like a moisturiser. It did take a while to get used to applying a cleanser to dry skin. I rub this in for about a minute, and then rinse off with warm water. I will also follow up with an exfoliator occasionally. I've been using Boscia's Soothing Cleansing Cream for a little over a month now, and I have to admit that I'm not blown away. I don't love the scent of this cleanser, although the scent is very, very faint. I really can't smell this cleanser until I've applied it to my face.

Since this cleanser is extremely gentle, I'm not sure it's doing a ton for my skin. I think that this would be a great cleanser for anyone with sensitive or irritated skin, who isn't wanting to remove makeup. However, I like my cleanser to give a bit more of a deep cleanse, so I don't think I'll be repurchasing this one. I'll use up the rest of my bottle, because really there isn't anything wrong with it. It doesn't make me break out, get oily or dry skin, etc. I just feel like there might be better cleansers on the market.

Maybe I'll try out Boscia's MakeUp-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil next to see if I like it any better than their Soothing Cleansing Cream! Have you tried this cleanser? Do you have any tips or tricks so that I can get better results from it? :)
