The packaging for the Color Whisper line is really nice, as each cap is colour coded to the actual shade of the product inside. The packaging actually quite reminds me of that of the L'Oreal Colour Riche Balms. On the Maybelline casing, there's a beautiful cursive font spelling out "whisper", which is a nice detail. The product comes in a skinny tube that spins up to reveal more product. I don't think that the product has much of a scent to it.
Berry Ready is a beautiful deep purple berry shade. This colour is actually very pigmented! I would almost label Berry Ready as a lipstick, rather than a tinted lip balm. I was expecting all of the Color Whisper shades to be more on the sheer, tinted side. The fact that Berry Ready is very pigmented will either be a positive or a negative for people. The line is marketed as a light wash of colour, so I can see how some people would be disappointed with such a rich, pigmented bold lip colour.
Berry Ready is very moisturizing, and I love how it feels on my lips. This colour doesn't settle into any cracks or dry areas that you might have on your lips. The colour stays on my lips for a few hours, which I'm happy with. I think I might actually be preferring the Color Whisper formula to that of the Revlon Lip Butters!
Look at how pigmented this shade is!
Have you tried any of Maybelline's new Color Whisper shades? There are 20 shades in the range, so there is a ton of variety! I also have Pin Up Peach, Go Nude, and Faint for Fuchsia, so look of for reviews on those shades in the next few weeks! :)
Mendi has this one and just loves it! Such a gorgeous color!
