As you can see, my pan has been well loved!
NARS' Angelika blush is a beautiful bright cotton candy pink with silver shimmer/glitter. If you aren't a fan of shimmer, you won't like this blush. However, I'm a huge fan of shimmer, and I absolutely love this blush. Some of the shimmer does fall out before the blush hits your cheeks, but some does also transfer onto your skin. I don't find that this blush makes you look like a disco ball, or a 10 year old girl who went heavy handed with the glitter.
Angelika has blue undertones, which I think makes this shade of bright pink more wearable. I like to apply this blush lightly with a Sigma F40, which I think adds just the right amount of colour to my cheeks. NARS' blushes are very pigmented, so you really only need a small amount. NARS' blushes also last all day long on my cheeks. I find it really hard to find a good quality drug store blush, especially since I've tried NARS and Tarte blushes. Nothing else compares!
I know Angelika looks really scary and bright in the pan, but it's actually a very wearable, pretty colour. If you use a light hand, you can't go wrong with this blush! NARS blushes are $32 CAD for 4.8g, which is quite pricey, but so worth it (in my opinion). I've never been disappointed by a NARS blush, and next on my wishlist are Madly and Lovejoy.
What are your favourite blushes? Have you tried NARS' Angelika? :)
I've never tried any of the NARS blushes, but the illamasqua quite corally shade I'm using at the moment is amazing, it works almost as a bronzer too, so you can do a bit of sculpting with only one product!

Oooh that sounds like a lovely product, I'll have to check it out :) I've only ever used an Illiamasqua nail polish!
DeleteI'm not sure what it's called, maybe flare? It's quite orangey so you have to put a bit on your wrist first!
DeleteUnfortunately my local Sephoras don't carry Illamasqua yet, so I can't swatch anything from the brand :( Hopefully soon!
DeleteLOVE this blush, it looks so pretty on you. I need another NARS blush in my life. I have Gina which is a nice peachy colour but sometimes a girl just needs a pink blush! I also love the look of Sin x
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! :)
DeleteI completely agree, sometimes you just want to wear a girly pink blush! And Sin is beautiful, very pigmented so you only need the smallest amount :)

ReplyDeleteYou really can't go wrong with Deep Throat, Lustre, Angelika, or Torrid :)

Wow, such a gorgesouly pigmented shade, such a shame I can't stand shimmers for face products!
ReplyDeleteAw, if you don't like shimmers then you definitely won't like this shade! Have you tried any other shades of NARS' blushes? They are all quite pigmented like this :)
