Nicole by OPI Alex by the Books

Today I have another one of Nicole by OPI's Modern Family polishes: Alex by the Books*. I was really excited when I first saw this polish in the bottle, as it's a beautiful mint green shade! I love this colour, especially in the upcoming Spring months. I was a bit weary of how the formula would turn out, as shades like this are fairly hit or miss.

I'm really happy to say that the formula of Alex by the Books is incredible! I only needed two coats of this polish for an opaque look. I found the formula thick and very creamy, and it was very easy to work with. I've found that pastel creme shades like this one can be hard to apply evenly, and I'm often left with streak marks or bald spots. Alex by the Books has an amazing formula, and it might just be my favourite mint green polish!

My only complaint with this polish is the drying time. I felt like this polish took ages to completely dry! This might be due to the extremely creamy and thick formula of the polish. However, I can look past this as I love the colour so much!

What is your favourites mint green polish? Have you tried any of Nicole by OPI's Modern Family inspired polishes? :)

  1. That is a gorgeous mint! Essie's Mint Candy Apple is also a pretty mint, and the formula seems to be pretty good too! Great blog...new follower!
