My first trip was to Sephora, and I knew what I wanted to get. As soon as I saw the promo images for the new Urban Decay Oz Palettes, I fell in love! I went to Sephora to swatch both the Glinda and Theodora Palettes, and I ended up picking up The Glinda Palette. I also stopped by the YSL section, because I wanted to get another Glossy Stain. I love the one I already have, #16, and now I picked up #1 Violet Edition.
Then over the weekend I went to Shoppers, since they were having a Spend Your Points event! This time, if you spend 40,000 points, you got $90 worth of beauty products, which is an extra $27! I knew I wanted a new foundation, and I've been eyeing Estee Lauder's Double Wear for quite a while, so I put that in my basket. I then looked over the Dior section, and picked out the Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss in 982 Black-Tie Plum. I haven't seen very many reviews on this shade, but I feel in love with the colour when I swatched it. And then I also picked up two items from Benefit. Shoppers had a deal going on where if you bought a Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner, you got a lipgloss or lipstick for free! So I picked up Skinny Jeans Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner, and I got an Ultra Shines in Nudie-Tude for free.
Then I went back to Sephora (not on the same day as the first visit), and used the rest of my gift cards! I had a few things that I knew I wanted to get, and then a few things that I just came across and decided to try out. The first thing that I knew that I wanted was Urban Decay's Theodora Palette. I've been using The Glinda Palette for the past week, and I absolutely love it! I also saw Urban Decay's Naked Basics Palette, and I decided to give it a shot. I am in love with the original Naked Palette, so I think I'll love this one too!
Next I picked up two Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blushes, in Tipsy and Dazzled. I've really been loving Exposed, and I knew that I wanted to try out a few different shades. Tipsy is a beautiful orange shade that I've heard amazing reviews on. Dazzled is a muted berry with golden shimmer. I was debating between Dazzled and Blushing Bride, but Dazzled looked a bit more wearable.
I recently used up a sample of Benefit's Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation, and I've been meaning to pick up the full size bottle for a while. I finally bought it in the shade "I'm Pure 4 Sure" Ivory. I also wanted another Buxom gloss, since I've been loving all of the ones I already own. I decided on Cherry Flip, since I remember Essie Button hauling it a while ago, and I wanted to try it out. And I finally caved and gave into the hype surrounding NARS' Lip Gloss in Turkish Delight! I just had to see how amazing this gloss is for myself.
I was also given a few Estee Lauder samples from Shopper's, and a Clinique sample from Sephora (not bought with my points!).
So that's my massive beauty haul! That should tide me over for a while (although I still have some more gift cards to Shopper's that I just received for my birthday!). Have you been doing any shopping lately? Do you own any of the items that I picked up? Did you redeem your Shoppers Points this past weekend? :)
Looks like you got some great stuff! Did you know that some SDM locations carry Urban Decay?
ReplyDeleteOh I didn't know that! That's awesome :)
DeleteDid you end up getting anything with your points?
Yup, my SDM location carries Urban Decay and Origins and I had 80000 points to redeem so I had a great time too! I bought three of the newer UD palettes all with points!
ReplyDeleteYAYY!
Great great haul though!
And Benefit, so I always have a great time at Shoppers ;-)
DeleteOh that's awesome! Which palettes did you get?
DeleteI haven't seen a Shopper's in Ottawa carrying either UD or Origins. I would love to be able to buy those brands there and get Optimum points instead of Sephora points!
OMG you got some great stuff! I think i want the Glinda palette too!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet note to Mendi. It means so much!
