I have to admit that I used to hate the packaging of Tarte's blushes (I thought they looked a bit cheap), but now I really love them. I love that the colour of the packaging is the colour of the blush, it makes it so easy to find the right shade in the morning. Also, if you are a fan of depotting, Tarte included a tiny hole on the bottom of the packaging. You can just slide a pin in the hole, and push out the magnetic plate that holds the blush. I think this is such a great idea, and more companies should start doing this!
Exposed has received a ton of hype in the beauty community lately, and I definitely think that this shade is worth all of the hype. I love to use Exposed when I'm wearing a bit of a bolder or bright eye or lip look. Exposed is a nude with slight pink undertones. I find that when these Amazonian Clay blushes are brand new, you need to work through the top layer first, before getting to the more pigmented section. For some reason, the very top of these blushes isn't very pigmented at all, but once you work through that, you're left with a true to the pan colour.
I apply Exposed with a Sigma F40, which I find is an amazing blush brush. This shade is very easy to apply lightly, or to build up to a deeper colour. I like pairing this with Benefit's High Beam as a highlighter. I think the pair is really pretty :)
Tarte does claim that these blushes will wear for 12 hours, but they don't last that long on my cheeks. I would say these last for about 8 hours on me. My NARS blushes do wear longer, so that's something to keep in mind. 8 hours isn't bad at all for a blush, but it just doesn't live up to its' 12 hour claim.
If you're in the market for a really natural blush, I think you would love Exposed. It's a beautiful, natural blush that's easy to apply. Tarte blushes are $31 CAD for 5.6g, which is a ton of product! I'm wanting to try out more shades from Tarte's line, and I have my eyes on Buff, Dazzled, and Blushing Bride. If you have any recommendations, please let me know your favourites!
I always see this blush in the store but I have never actually bought it. The colour is absolutely gorgeous and I know that I will need this blush come the spring/summer.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting <3
I put off getting this blush for so long, but I'm so glad I finally bought it! :)

DeleteAbsolutely LOVE tarte blushes. I haven't tried one I don't like yet :P
ReplyDeleteWhich ones are you favourites? I want to pick up a few more :)
DeleteI love my Tarte blushes! I have Blissful and Blushing Bride. I did notice that the top layer of Blissful was difficult to get through, but now I have pigmented color!
ReplyDeleteI think they all have that layer! At first I thought they just had horrible pigmentation lol!
