Happy Saturday everyone! Surprisingly, I have today off from work, so I've just spent the morning relaxing, and now I'm going to start studying, and do some groceries later on in the day. I hope your days are off to a great start as well :)
Today I have a rediscovered product to share with you! A few years ago (maybe 5 years ago?), I used to use Lush's Mask of Magnaminty all the time. For some reason, I stopped buying it, and have been gravitating towards Lush's Cupcake and Cosmetic Catastrophe fresh face masks. I recently gave Mask of Magnaminty another chance, and I don't know why I ever stopped using it!
How Lush describes Mask of Magnaminty:
"Mask of Magnaminty isn’t technically a daily ‘facial wash’; it’s actually a deep cleansing face and back mask. China clay and fresh peppermint reach deep down to pull the debris from your pores, giving you that delightful tingly-clean sensation. We add loads of aduki beans to exfoliate flaky or dry skin, vanilla absolute to calm redness and honey to soothe. Our inventors created Mask of Magnaminty to be the ‘ultimate face mask’, intense but not harsh or abrasive on the skin. We recommend using Mask of Magnaminty weekly to keep the skin in good condition."
Mask of Magnaminty is seriously minty. The scent is quite strong, but I really enjoy the minty, invigorating scent. The mask is green in colour, and when it's applied to your face it looks like the typical green face mask that you see in the movies. I apply a think layer of this mask onto clean, dry skin, and leave on for 10-15 minutes. This mask will dry, and turn a slightly darker green shade. Then I splash a bit of warm water onto my face, and massage the mask into my face. The mask has adzuki beans in the formula, which act as exfoliators.
I love this mask because it leaves my skin feeling so soft and refreshed. I feel as though this mask really helps calm my skin. I have pretty bad seasonal allergies, and my skin can often feel quite irritated or itchy, and this mask works to calm these issues. This mask also works great at healing breakouts. It won't cure acne, but I think that it does a great job at reducing the severity of any breakouts.
And finally, I love that this face mask doesn't have the insanely short shelf life that Lush's Fresh Face Masks have! Mask of Magnaminty has a life span of about four months, which is much better than the 3 weeks for the fresh face masks. I don't feel as though I have to rush through this jar of product, but since it does have an expiry date I still will make sure to use it regularly. I think once a week is ideal for this face mask.
Have you tried Lush's Mask of Magnaminty? Do you love it as much as I do? :)
This mask ranges from $12.95 (125g) -$24.95 (315g).
Oooh I've not seen this one before, sounds great though. I love Lush face masks so this would be right up my street! x
ReplyDeleteThis mask is really amazing! Definitely try it out or at least pick up a sample from Lush :)
DeleteI have tried a sample of this and would definitely buy it in full-size. I don't have a Lush store near me and I love their fresh face masks. The sales associate suggested this one to me as this one has a much longer shelf life. I just love the minty scent. Very refreshing.
ReplyDeleteI also love the longer shelf live, I always feel like I rush through my fresh face masks!
