OPI Vant to Bite My Neck? & When Monkeys Fly!

I removed my ImPress Press On Manicure last night, and decided to paint my nails something a bit darker. Even though it's nearing the end of March, Ottawa just got hit with a heavy batch of snow over night. So, it's still Winter where I am, therefore the dark, vampy shades are still appropriate!

OPI’s Vant to Bite My Neck?* is a beautiful dark eggplant shade. This polish is very similar to OPI's famous Lincoln Park After Dark, but this shade is a bit lighter. The formula was incredible, I almost got away with only a single coat. However, I added a second coat just to deepen the colour, and to make sure there weren't any bald patches. Another great shade from the Euro Centrale Collection!

I then decided to play around with a new glitter polish from OPI's Oz Collection, When Monkeys Fly!* This polish contains small, medium, and large glitter pieces sustained in a clear polish base. The large glitter pieces are gold, whereas the small and medium glitter pieces are sliver with a slight holographic effect. The larger gold glitter pieces do have a tendency to curl up, and they even appear to be slightly curled in the bottle.

What do you think about this duo? Are you a fan of layering glitter polishes over cremes?

  1. I just bought When Monkeys Fly yesterday! I planned to layer many top coats to keep all the glitter in tact! Let me know how it lasts! I love the look!

  2. The purple is gorgeous, but I'm not too sure about all the large pieces of glitter in the OPI polish. Looks pretty though :-)

    1. It's really not too bad! I think as long as you use a top coat you should be fine :)
