Sephora + Disney Jasmine - Magic Carpet Ride Eyeshadow Palette

I'm really excited to share this review with all of you! I absolutely loved Sephora + Disney Cinderella Collection, so I was insanely excited about the brand new Jasmine Collection! Today I have the Sephora + Disney Jasmine - Magic Carpet Ride Eyeshadow Palette* to review. Right now this collection is online only, and exclusive to Sephora's Beauty Insiders, but it should make its' way into stores soon.

I love the packaging, look at the barcode!

From Sephora:

:What it is:
An illuminating eye shadow palette containing four shimmering shadows inspired by Arabian romance.

What it does:
Allow yourself to fall in love with this palette of luminous shadows that capture the enchantment of the film’s iconic magic carpet ride. Inspired by the starry glow, lavender sky, gleaming moon, and Jasmine’s classic turquoise outfit, each shadow promises to illuminate you and your mood.

This set contains:
4 x 0.049 oz eye shadows in:
- Carpet (glittery violet)
- Wonder by Wonder (glitter lavender)
- Splendid (glittery peachy pink)
- Diamond Sky (deep turquoise)"

The Magic Carpet Ride Eyeshadow Palette is actually a quad with four beautiful shades. Each shade has such a buttery, smooth texture and all of the shades have great pigmentation. I love the artwork on the packaging, I think that any Jasmine fans will be quite pleased. However, I do wish that the compact felt a bit more luxurious, the plastic does cheapen the palette a bit, in my opinion.

I love that the shades included in this quad are both fun and colourful, but they are all still wearable. I've used all of the shades to create a look, and there isn't a single shade that I was disappointed with. Splendid is great for an all over lid colour, Carpet and Wonder by Wonder are great for deepening up the crease, and Diamond Sky is lovely for adding a pop of colour!

These colours last all day on my lids (keep in mind that I don't have oily lids). I've used Maybelline's Color Tattoo in Barely Branded as a base, and layered these shadows over top. I think that you could create endless looks using this quad, ranging from neutral to bold. If you're a fan of Disney princesses, this item would make a great collectors piece. I'm also lusting over the Storylook Palette Vol. 2 from this collection, as I love the Cinderella Palette so much!

Are you going to pick up any items from this collection? Leave me a comment below letting me know what items you're lusting over! :)

The Magic Carpet Ride Eyeshadow Palette retails for $36 CAD.

  2. This is so beautiful. I haven't picked up anything from the Disney Sephora collections but I know that if/when a Belle or Pocahontas collection launches I'll be all over it! xx
