Lush Ocean Salt

Happy Monday everyone! (Oh, and happy April Fool's Day!) If you have today off, I hope you're enjoying this extra long weekend :) Today I have one of Lush's most hyped up products to share with you, Ocean Salt. I've been wanting to try this out for a while, and I recently finished off my tub of Soap & Glory's Flake Away, so I added this pot to my shower!

How Lush describes Ocean Salt -

"Back in 2005, our inventors had come up with a number of fantastic cleansers but there was one category they had yet to conquer: The scrub! A sea salt scrub! With that, they whipped up (our now enormously popular) Ocean Salt. Washing with Ocean Salt is like taking your face on a trip to the seaside for an invigorating splash in the water. We mix in fresh avocado and coconut to hydrate thirsty skin, while the antibacterial effects of lime and vodka is ideal for blocked pores, blackheads or blemishes. The minerals in sea salt soften as it scrubs away dirt and blockages."

Firstly, this scrub smells incredible! The mixture of coconut, lime, and grapefruit is just amazing. Like a vacation in a tub! Plus, the scent of Ocean Salt fills up my entire shower when I use it, you can't beat that! Now, onto the formula: I've heard from a lot of people that this is a great body scrub, but that it's a bit too rough for the face. So, I was a little bit scared of trying it as a facial scrub. However, I don't find it too rough at all. The pieces of sea salt are suspended in a creamy liquid, which makes the scrub less harsh.

One thing that I always look for in a scrub is a good balance of exfoliation and hydration, and I think that Lush's Ocean Salt checks both of those boxes. My skin is left feeling really soft, refreshed, clean, and moisturized. Overall, I'm really pleased with this scrub! It definitely deserves all of the hype that it's gotten.

  1. I hate to call products my holy grail because I think its silly, but if I were to call a product a holy grail, it would be Ocean Salt. Its the only product that truly improves my skin. I love absolutely everything about it...except the price.

    1. Yes, the price is a bit steep! But, if I really love a product, and it works well for my skin, I don't mind paying a bit more :)
