Maybelline Instant Age Rewind The Perfector Powder

Maybelline has recently launched a few new additions to their Instant Age Rewind line, including The Perfector*. I already love the Dark Circles concealer, so I was excited to try out this new powder.

"Perfecting powder and smoothing primer with shea butter gives skin a youthful radiance. 2-in-1 Pressed powder + smoothing primer.
No caking. No settling."

This powder combines a primer and setting powder into one compact. I have the shade light/medium, which matches my skin tone very well. I do find that this powder provides light coverage, so I like to use it over top of my foundation and concealer. If you want a very minimal make up look, You could just use a bit of this 2 in 1 powder, and you'd be good to go!

This powder gives a more luminescent glow to my skin, without making me look too glowy or dewy. This powder didn't cling to any of my drier spots, and it concealed my oilier t-zone very well. Great multi-tasking! The white primer section of the powder blends in nicely, and doesn't look stark at all on the skin. The formula also feels very lightweight on the skin, and doesn't give you a cakey powder look at all. This powder applies very smoothly and it almost has a velvet texture to it. I think it feels quite luxurious, considering it is a drug store product!

Have you tried any products from Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind line? If you're looking for a good drugstore powder that won't make you look cakey, I would recommend trying out The Perfector. :)

  4. Does this absorb excess oil? And does your face get oily throughout the day wearing this?

    1. I don't have very oily skin to begin with, so this powder does keep my face looking matte all day long! I'm not sure how it would work on oilier skin types though!
