NARS Larger Than Life Lip Gloss - Coeur Sucre

I've been doing a ton of spring cleaning today, which I'm really happy about. I love purging and getting rid of all of my junk that's been building up over the Winter months. And, all of that purging means that I'm making room for new purchases! I have my eyes on a lot of really cute spring dresses and tops from Forever 21, and some gorgeous sandals from Call It Spring. I don't know how much longer I can hold out, so I might be having some hauls to show you soon! My boyfriend and I are also making a trip to NYC in May, so I'll definitely be doing some shopping while I'm there. Now on to today's review, one of my favourite lip glosses for Spring, NARS' Larger Than Life Lip Gloss in the shade Coeur Sucre.

In the tube, this shade looks like a very vibrant bright bubble gum pink, but it does apply a bit sheer on my lips. Now, I must address the applicator of this gloss. The brush is ridiculously tiny. I really don't understand NARS' logic behind this brush. The tiny brush does make for a more exact application, but it also means that applying this gloss takes way longer than a traditional gloss, which is annoying. However, the colour is really pretty, so I put up with the teeny tiny brush. I think this shade of bright pink is perfect for Spring, and I know that I'll be reaching for it a ton over the coming months.

The formula of this gloss is hydrating and fairly long-wearing. This gloss stays on my lips for about 4-5 hours before I need to reapply. This gloss doesn't withstand eating or drinking, so you'll need to reapply after any meals. NARS claims that this glosses has plumping ingredients, but my lips are already fairly large, so I personally don't notice any plumping.

Have you tried any of NARS' Larger Than Life Lip Glosses? What are you favourite lip shades for Spring? :)

  1. I like the pigmentation & formula of these "larger than life" glosses... but I just cannot get on board with the applicators! They're awful! I find them to be stiff & pokey -- terrible at actually applying the product haha. This shade looks great on you though! x

  2. We haven't tried any of the larger than life glosses and had no idea that the brush was that small. Hmmm...the color is pretty though!
