NARS Duo Eyeshadow - Sugarland

About a year ago I bought three of NARS' Duo Eyeshadows, and today I bring you Sugarland. I bought this duo because I found the pink shade to be gorgeous, and the apricot/nude shade looked to be very wearable. I love NARS' eye products, and I find their shadows long wearing, creamy, and highly pigmented.

Sugarland contains two shades, a glimmering apricot and a lavender pink with golden sheen. Both shades are fairly shimmery, and I do find that I experience a bit of fall-out with the apricot shade. However, the fall-out can be quickly dusted off of my cheekbones, and this doesn't bother me. My favourite eye look with this duo is by first starting off with Maybelline's Color Tattoo in Inked in Pink all over my lids. I then place the lavender shade in this duo overtop with a Sigma E55. I then take a Sigma E40 and place the apricot shade in my outer corner. I use the same brush to do some blending, add some black liquid liner and mascara, and I'm good to go! I also like to add Sephora's Jumbo Liner in 21 Pink Glitter on my lower lash line to complete the look.

NARS' Sugarland makes for a beautiful combo that is very wearable and beautiful. I really love pink eye shadows, although I know that a lot of girls are scared of wearing them. Shades like this lavender one are very flattering and easy to pull off. Even though I only used two shadows, I feel like my eye look is complete. Normally when I use an eye shadow palette I find myself reaching for 4-5 shadows, so using this duo is much easier! These shadows stay on my lids all day long, and keep their vibrancy throughout the day.

Have you tried any of NARS' Duo Eyeshadows? They aren't cheap, at $34 US/$39 CAD, but I think they're a great splurge item or gift. I also own Vent Glace and Habanera, but I'm really wanting Cleo, Tzarine, Earth Angel, and Kalahari. Please leave me your shade recommendations in a comment below! :)

  1. The colors do remind me of sugar. They look great against your skintone.
