"What it is: A collection of ultramodern nail polish pairs with the signature Pierre Hardy pattern.
What it does: Inspired by his 2013 high-fashion shoe collection, Pierre Hardy infuses his color palette into nail polish pairs for NARS. Presented in the spirit of his signature shoebox packaging, Pierre Hardy for NARS delivers an ultramodern coupling of conceptual color."
This was my first experience with NARS' nail polishes, so I'll give you a little rundown about the formula/packaging. NARS' polishes come housed in really cute bottles, with the famous black rubberized lids that NARS is known for. The brush is skinny, so you do have to use about 4 strokes to cover each nail. However, this makes application more precise, and reduces the amount of clean up needed. Both of the nail polishes in this duo a cremes, and apply effortlessly and to a high-shine finish. I only needed two coats of both colours for an opaque look. The drying time was also quite fast, although I did still use my OPI RapiDry Spray.
These nail polish duos are named as a set, and the polishes are simply named Vertebra Left and Vertebra Right. Vertebra Left is a beautiful coral shade that applied with ease. This coral shade is bright, but still very wearable. I think this colour would look amazing with a tan, and I can see myself reaching for it many times this Summer. Vertebra Right is described as a dusty rose, but I see it more as a greige shade. This polish seems to have slight purple undertones and looks very flattering. When paired with Vertebra Left, the two shades compliment each other very nicely. I decided to paint Vertebra Left on all of my nails except for my ring fingers, where I painted Vertebra Right.
Overall, I'm really impressed by NARS' nail polish formula! I don't know why I haven't tried their polishes before, but I normally stick to NARS' blushes, eye shadows, and eye liners. These Pierre Hardy duos are $32 CAD, whereas normally a single NARS polish is $21 CAD. Have you tried any of NARS' Pierre Hardy polishes? :)
