NARS Galapagos

I just got back from a nice stroll through the ByWard Market, it's such a beautiful day here in Ottawa! The sun is shining, and the downtown core was fairly busy since it's Canada Day weekend. Oh and I placed a Forever 21 order last night, so I'll be sure to share my purchases with you when it arrives!

Today I bring you NARS' Single Eye Shadow in the shade Galapagos ($28 CAD). I've had this shadow for about a year, and I love having it in my collection. This shadow is a beautiful deep brown shade with golden shimmer. I absolutely love NARS' eye shadows, they're so creamy and highly pigmented. They are expensive, but if you're in the market for a high-end shadow, I think NARS makes some of the best formulas.

I started off this eye look by using Maybelline's Color Tattoo in the shade Bad to the Bronze (reviewed here). I then used Urban Decay's Half Baked, Toasted, and Buck all over my lids. Then, I used NARS' Galapagos to deepen up my outer corner. I lined my upper lash line with Stila's Smudge Stick in Damsel, and  finished off the look with a coat of Revlon's Lash Potion (reviewed here).

NARS Galapagos on Eyes

NARS' Galapagos is so creamy, and glides on super easily. I like to apply this shadow with a Sigma E40, which is a tapered blending brush. This rich chocolate brown shade is perfect for adding to your crease, as it deepens up your eye look without being too heavy. If you have a hard time pulling off a dark black or grey smoky eye, try using a dark brown like NARS' Galapagos. NARS' shadows don't crease on my lids, and they last all day long when paired with a primer or cream shadow.

Have you tried any of NARS' eye shadows? I have four single shadows (Galapagos, Strada, Lhasa, and Fathom), and I love all of the ones that I've tried. Feel free to leave me your shade recommendations in the comments below! :)
