Vichy Self Tanner Moisturizing Milk Face & Body

I've been revisiting a self tanner that I used to use a few years ago, Vichy's Self Tanner Moisturizing Milk Face & Body*. I'm really trying to stay out of the sun, and use a good amount of SPF whenever I am in the sun. I have to admit that back in high school my friends and I would lay out for hours on end, trying to develop that perfect tan. Well, now I realize how stupid I was! Sure, my tan looked great, but at what cost? For the past few years I've been really diligent about protecting my skin, but I still want that gorgeous summer glow. Over the past couple of weeks I've been using Vichy's Self Tanner, and I love the bronzed colour it gives my skin!

Vichy's Self Tanner is a white creamy consistency. I do prefer my self tanners to have a bit of colour in them, as I find it makes application so much easier. When applying this formula from Vichy, it can be a bit difficult to see where you've already applied the product. This formula is very creamy and hydrating, so I don't feel the need to apply a separate moisturizer. First, I prep my skin by shaving and exfoliating, and then apply the self tanner to dry skin. I normally apply self tanner at night, and then let it develop overnight.

Vichy's Self Tanner develops in one hour, and I really love the bronzed colour it leaves my skin. My skin is naturally fairly pale, so I do tend to lean on self-tanner in the Summer months. This tanner can be streaky if you don't rub it into your skin thoroughly. I always make sure to take a bit of extra time to ensure that all of the product is absorbed into my skin. Vichy's formula doesn't leave my hands looking orange at all, which I find amazing. This tanner does leave that signature self tanning scent, but it isn't overpowering. I apply this formula all over my body, and I use it on my face as well. This cream absorbs really quickly into the skin, and you can put on clothing in just a few minutes. This formula doesn't clog my pores or make me break out.

I tried to include pictures of my tan, but my flash kept washing me out! You'll just have to take my word on my gorgeous Summer glow :) Have you tried Vichy's Self Tanner before? What are your favourite self tanning formulas?
