Baléa Glow Sunless Tan Gelee

I've been shopping my stash a lot recently, and I came across my tube of Baléa's Glow Sunless Tan Gelee. I bought this last year from Shoppers Drug Mart, which is the only place you can find Baléa. I've gotten a lot of questions on how I've been liking this tanner, so let's hop into my review!

This self tanner is fairly inexpensive, and I think I picked it up on sale for about $6. This is the first gel self tanner that I've ever tried, and I really like it! I picked up the shade medium to dark, as I always do with self tanners. I'm fairly pale, but I figure that using a medium to dark self tanner is just a more economical option. That way, I only have to apply this tanner about twice a week. I apply this tanner after shaving and exfoliating. The formula is a bit scary to look at, since it's this green-brown gel. However, it sinks right into the skin, and then the colour develops after a few hours. I absolutely love the tan shade that this tanner gives to my skin, it looks extremely natural.

Baléa markets this product as having a moisturizing formula, and I highly agree. I don't feel the need to apply a moisturizer after applying the tanner, which says a lot because I'm always applying a moisturizer! The first couple of times that I've used this product, I was left with a few streaks. I've found that you really need to take your time with this formula, and make sure it's completely rubbed into your skin. This gel absorbs quickly, and you can get dressed within a minute or two of applying the self tanner. I always wash my hands thoroughly after tanning, and I've never had any issues with orange palms from this tanner (I don't use a mitt). This formula does have that "biscuity" scent that all tanners seem to have. However, it isn't too strong, and if you put a scented body lotion over top then you won't be able to smell it any longer.

I'm really glad that I've rediscovered this product! I hope it's still readily available, and I would love to know if you've tried this self tanner before. What are your go-to tanning products? :)
