Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

I mentioned Estee Lauder's Double Wear Foundation ($42.50 CAD) in my June Favourites, and now it's time to give it a proper review! I actually was able to "buy" this foundation with my Optimum points at Shopper's a few months back, and I've really been enjoying it!

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

I've heard so many incredible reviews on this foundation, which is the reason I ended up picking it up. I love the little glass bottle and gold lid. However, I do wish that this foundation had a pump, since that would make application a lot easier. I normally tilt the bottle onto the back of my hand, and then use a Sigma F80 to apply the foundation to my face. This foundation does offer a fuller coverage finish, which I personally like. This is a great foundation to wear on nights out, or anytime you want a flawless finish. This is definitely the foundation that I've been reaching for on my bad skin days, since it covers up spots very nicely.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

I have the shade 1W1 Bone, which has some yellow/golden undertones. This shade matches my skin beautifully, and there are quite a few shades in this range to choose from. This formula does contain an SPF of 10, which is nice year-round. SPF 10 isn't a ton of coverage, but it's still nice knowing that you have a bit of protection in your makeup. This formula applies very easily, but I definitely do think that it needs to be applied with a brush for a flawless finish. Estee Lauder's Double Wear can leave me skin looking a bit dewy, which I do like. However, I can always add a bit of powder to make a more matte finish. As the name suggests, this foundation does last all day on my skin without fading, oxidizing, etc.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

Even though this foundation overs a higher coverage, I still think that it feels very light and looks natural on my skin. This is definitely my go-to foundation when I want a flawless look, and for nights out. Have you tried Estee Lauder's famous Double Wear Foundation? What is your favourite medium-full coverage foundation?

  1. I love this foundation! Unfortunately, my shade was a bit too dark for me, but I may repurchase it!

  2. I've never tried Estee Lauder's make up. I always think "old lady' when I think of Estee Lauder products. I do have an eyeshadow quad that was gifted to me and I have used it several times but I have never purchased their cosmetics. I don't know but $42 is a bit steep for foundation when I can get fabulous results with my $11 drugstore makeup. I'd be open to trying it though if they offered me a sample.

    1. Estee Lauder has some amazing products in their line! Their products are definitely pricey, but if you're looking for a splurge or an item to add to a birthday list, etc., this is a great foundation! :)
