Garnier Fructis Volume Extend Instant Bodifier Dry Shampoo

Garnier Fructis has recently come out with a dry shampoo, called the Volume Extend Instant Bodifier Dry Shampoo*.  I wash my hair every other day, and I really like to use dry shampoo on second day hair. I normally like to stick to drugstore versions, since you can find great formulas at low prices. So far, my favourites have been Dove's Refresh + Care Dry Shampoo and Suave's Keratin Infusion Dry Shampoo. However, I always like discovering new products, so I had to try this one out!

"This dry shampoo, enriched with a blend of orange and grape extract, immediately refreshes and bodifies lifeless locks, instantly creating volume you can see and feel."

This dry shampoo from Garnier Fructis is geared towards fine or flat hair, but I like it a lot and I have quite thick hair. I normally stick to dry shampoos to help with oils, since I don't really need help with volume. However, I can tell that this formula does add volume to my hair, which is always nice. Ever since I went brunette, I've notice how white dry shampoos can turn my hair. I'm so happy to say that this is the first dry shampoo that I've tried that is completely invisible! That's right, there's absolutely no colour with this dry shampoo!

This dry shampoo also has a very pleasant scent. This product smells a bit fruity, but the scent it very light, and it doesn't stay in your hair throughout the day. Another point to mention is that I don't have to brush out this dry shampoo. I normally have to spray the product on my roots, wait a few minutes, and then brush out the white product. However, this product doesn't need to be brushed out, maybe because it sprays on clear? I love this aspect, since I do wear my hair curly/wavy quite frequently, and I hate the thought of brushing out curls.

Overall, I give this product a big thumbs up! I love that this product is from the drugstore, making it affordable and easy to find. I think that this product is perfect for 2nd day hair, as it's refreshing, adds volume, and doesn't weigh my hair down. Also, this product doesn't have that awful dry shampoo feeling. You know what I'm talking about, when your hair looks clean but feels chalky (I'm looking at you, Tresemme Dry Shampoo).

Are you going to be picking up Garnier Fructis' Volume Extend Instant Bodifier Dry Shampoo? I've been loving Suave's Keratin Infusion Dry Shampoo, but since that isn't sold in Canada I'm really happy to have found a replacement! What are your favourite dry shampoos?

    1. It's great for building volume too, not only for controlling oils :)

  3. I have a similar hair routine... I'm lucky to get by 24hrs without my hair getting oily at the roots. I use Khlorine dry shampoo for inbetween wash days and it does all the above, white chalky residue (my brown locks turn a huesy grey, not cool). I also have fine hair that craves volume. I'm getting low on Khlorine, so might try and spot this stuff next time I'm at the grocery store! Thanks for the review!! Definitly going to give it a try. :)
