Lush Herbalism

I recently finished off my bottle of Boscia's Soothing Cleansing Cream (reviewed here), so it was time to open up a new cleanser. I decided on Lush's Herbalism* ($13.95-$29.95), which is one of their roll cleansers.

From Lush:

"Herbalism is best suited to those who have tried everything under the sun to clear up their oily and blemish prone skin. Here's our fresh facial cleanser to convert you into a believer of the power of herbs! The antibacterial blend of rosemary, nettle and chamomile help clear up problematic skin. Ground rice bran acts as an effective exfoliant, while kaolin clay deep cleanses pores. Use this cleanser in combination with Grease Lightning for clear, balanced skin."

I've used a few of Lush's solid cleansers in the past, but I don't think I've ever tried Herbalism. This is a great facial cleanser to combat oily skin that is very common in the Summer months. If you've never tried a solid cleanser before, don't be scared! They are really easy to use, I just take a pea sized amount in my hand, mix with warm water, and apply it to my face. Herbalism has a slightly gritty texture, so your face is left cleansed and exfoliated. Herbalism does have a herbal scent to it (who would have guessed?), but I don't find it too overpowering or irritating.

Herbalism really does help control oils, and even though I don't have very oily skin, this cleanser does help to keep my skin looking matte all day long. This cleanser isn't drying or abrasive, and it is gentle enough to use as a daily cleanser.

Have you tried any of Lush's solid or roll cleansers before? I'm also wanting to try out Dark Angels and Angels on Bare Skin. Leave me your recommendations in a comment below! :)

    1. Lush is really great at giving samples, so you could always try it out before buying! :)
Thanks for letting me know, I'll definitely check it out! :)

  2. I've used Aqua Marina which is really nice when your skin is having a freak out and needs to be calmed. Herbalism is on my list of ones to try though!

    1. Ooh I might need to try Aqua Marina, that sounds great! :)
