Sephora + Disney's Ariel Part of Your World Eyeshadow Palette

Sephora is releasing their Disney Reigning Beauties Ariel Collection this month, and today I have the Part of Your World Eyeshadow Palette* ($36 CAD) to share with you! I'm not really a "princessy" girl, but I have to say that these Reigning Beauties Collections have totally sucked me in. The packaging is absolutely gorgeous, and the products are actually quite good quality.

"Dreams are Realities in Waiting"

"Open your eyes to endless possibilities with this captivating palette with four vibrant shades that are easy to apply and blend for a variety of mesmerizing eye looks. Let your eyes shimmer like the sea with these inspiring shades, including What's-It (matte clay grey) and three glittery shades, Who's-It (glittering white), Dinglehopper (iridescent light teal), and Snarfblat (violet with iridescent glitter)."

This palette has a really nice mix of colours, and I've been having a lot of fun playing with all of the shades. These shadows unfortunately aren't super pigmented (the Jasmine quad was a lot more pigmented!), but it's still possible to get some pretty eye looks out of this palette. I do think that you need to use a primer or a cream shadow base under these powder shadows, that way the colours look more vibrant and will stay on all day long. I've found the best base to use with this quad is Sephora + Pantone's Light Storm Liquid Shadow in the shade Smoky Grape* (reviewed here).

Here I've used Smoky Grape as a base, all four shadows from the Part of Your World Eyeshadow Palette, and Stila's Smudge Stick in Periwinkle on my lower lash line. I've also used MAKE UP FOR EVER's Aqua Liner on my upper lash line, and Revlon's Lash Potion on my lashes!

Here I've also used Smoky Grape as a base, all four shadows from the Part of Your World Eyeshadow Palette, and then Sephora's Jumbo Liner in 31 Lilac Shimmer on my lower lash line. Again, I'm wearing MAKE UP FOR EVER's Aqua Liner on my upper lash line, and Revlon's Lash Potion on my lashes!

Overall, I do think this is a nice palette for any Disney Ariel fans to own, but I don't think it's essential. I do really wish the shadows were more pigmented, especially the green shade (Dinglehopper). Also, the shades are listed anywhere on the quad, only on the outer packaging. The Jasmine quad had all of the shades listed on the back of the palette, and I wish the same was done for the Ariel quad. will you be picking up the Ariel Part of Your World Eyeshadow Palette this month?

  1. I am going to pass on this one even though I love the case and I love Disney anything! I have too many palettes already and I have had to put myself on a no buy until I can make more space. I have been on too many shopping sprees this spring and summer already.

    1. I agree, I don't think this is a must-need palette, so don't break your no-buy for it! :)
