Sephora + Pantone Light Storm Liquid Shadow - Smoky Grape

Sephora has recently released an amazing collection with Pantone Universe, and one of my favourite items from the line has been the Light Storm Liquid Shadow ($22 CAD). The shade Smoky Grape* is just gorgeous, and I definitely think that this is one product that should not be passed over.

"What it is: A long-lasting liquid eye shadow formula with color-shifting hues and incomparable shine.

What it does: This unique color-shifting formula alters hues depending on the angle of view and available lighting to create a dramatic, multidimensional look. The lightweight, crease-resistant liquid pigments add a mega-chromatic wash of color to the eye. This stunning formula blends evenly into skin and dries quickly for long-lasting, ultra impressive wear."

This liquid shadow applies beautifully, and the doe foot applicator dispenses just the right amount of product. I use the applicator to put the shadow on my eyes, and then I blend out the colour with my fingers. This formula blends in really easily, and dries to almost a powdery finish. I've been using Smoky Grape as a base to layer powder shadows over top of, and this works beautifully. The Light Storm Liquid Shadow formula is very long-wearing, and my shadows still looked perfectly in place by the end of the day.

Smoky Grape is a great shade to layer purple, pink, grey, or nude shadows over top of. Powder shadows adhere nicely to this liquid shadow base, creating a long-lasting eye-look. You can wear this shadow on its' own (as shown in the photo above), which creates a super easy, yet still pretty look. I think that Smoky Grape is a gorgeous shade for Summer, and I love the almost duo-chrome effect of this shade. Depending on the angle and the lighting, Smoky Grape can pull purple, lilac, pink, and there's even specks of teal.

I definitely think that Smoky Grape is a must-have shade for the Summer! This shade is beautiful in person, and I love the way this colour shifts in different lighting and angles. Have you tried any of the three shades from the Sephora + Pantone's Light Storm Liquid Shadow line? Are you a fan of liquid shadows? :)
